Direction

Paste the starting position as the game displays it (“[-25,36]”, “-25 36”…). The keyboard arrow keys choose the direction.

The treasure hunt tool will make your life easier: combine it with an auto-piloted mount and you're set! Paste the /travel command into the chat, and the mount makes the trip while you prepare the next clue.

How to use the tool

  1. The starting position. Paste it as the hunt displays it: [-25,36], -25.36, or -25 36, anything works. At each following step, the tool fills it in for you.
  2. The direction. Click the arrow shown by the hunt, or press the arrow key on your keyboard.
  3. The clue. Type the first letters of its name: the clues in that direction move to the top, with their distance. You can also click directly on one of the clues displayed below the form.
  4. The trip. The tool gives the map of the clue and copies the /travel command: paste it into the game chat to get there on autopilot.
  5. What comes next. Once the clue is validated in the game, click “Clue found: next step”: the position is carried over, and all that's left is to choose the next direction and clue.

The current hunt is kept in memory in the tab: reloading the page won't lose it. On a computer, with Chrome or Edge, the floating window keeps the tool on top of the game.

Directions and distance

A clue is always in the given direction, at most ten maps away from the starting position, sometimes eleven (the tool goes up to that). The tool counts maps starting from the one you are on: “3 maps up” means three map changes upward. If the same clue appears several times along the route, the closest one normally counts. The game sometimes ignores one instance of a scenery object: the tool then also shows the following maps where it appears.

The Drhellers

Some steps don't ask for a scenery object but for a Drheller, a living clue. It has no fixed location: move map by map in the direction and it appears on one of the next ten. Type “Drheller” in the tool for a reminder.

If the clue isn't found

First check the starting position and the direction: being off by a single square is enough to throw everything off. If the clue is really in the game but the tool can't find it, or sends you somewhere else, report it with the button at the bottom of the page and say where it was: the map is corrected for everyone.

Locations are recorded from the game files, object by object: each clue corresponds to a scenery element, and the tool knows every map in the World of Twelve where it is placed. A few clues are still being recorded: the tool flags this, and your reports fill in the gaps.
