The 15 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Oto Mustam

   Dialogue[-25,33] · Oto Mustam

   The quest starts at the Brakmar militia. To forge his blade, Oto Mustam needs Cursed Iron, and a Lava Spirit to bring to Mulic.

   

2. 2Question Divad Dleifrepok

   Dialogue[-22,33] · Divad Dleifrepok

   Go up to the second floor of the tower and go left. Talk to Divad about the Cursed Iron: you need to gather iron, a Follower of Pain or higher rank, an Evil Eye Talisman and ZolTAN's help.

   

3. 3Pay for ZolTAN's help

   Items[-26,36] · ZolTAN

   ZolTAN is standing in front of the bank. Talk to him about the Cursed Iron and the help required, then give him 5,000 kamas so he agrees to help you.

4. 4Give the Corn to Zeurg

   Items[8,2] · Zeurg

   At the Osamodas temple, ask Zeurg for the Talisman recipe: he trades it for Corn. Give him the 70 Corn; he then sets one last condition: get him a new Knout.

5. 5Ask Mulic Bere for the Knout recipe

   Dialogue[-28,33] · Mulic Bere

   At the Brakmar blacksmith, ask Mulic how to craft a Knout. Gather the resources, then pull the lever to enter his special forge.

   

6. 6Craft the Artisanal Knout

   Crafting[-28,33]

   In the forge, craft the parts yourself or with a craftsman: you need a Carver, a Smith and a Handyman of level 172 or higher. Three intermediate crafts: 5 Bread Board with the Handle Slasher equipped; 1 Soryo Snowfoux Paw and 5 Brassic with the Scratcher Smith's Hammer; 1 Maho Snowfoux Leather and 5 Thriten Tooth with the Handle Slasher. Then assemble the Knout Tips, the Knout Handle and the Knout Straps.

   Equip 1 Handle Slasher and 1 Scratcher Smith's Hammer depending on the craft.

7. 7Bring the Knout back to Zeurg

   Bring the Artisanal Knout back to Zeurg, then ask him for the Talisman recipe.

8. 8Craft the Evil Eye Talisman

   Crafting

   Go to a jewelers' workshop: a level 1 Jeweller is enough. You need 10 Flax Twine, 1 Kami Snowfoux Cornea and 5 Crobak Foot.

9. 9Show the talisman to Divad Dleifrepok

   Go back to the second floor of the tower, in the room on the left, and show the talisman to the order leader. To curse the iron, someone has to cast a spell on you: you still have to find who will curse you.

   

10. 10Defeat Snotleek

    Combat[-19,-59]

    At the Bonta cemetery, insult Snotleek to fight her. The fight is solo. After the victory, you get a Blue Balloon and Snotleek's curse.

11. 11Have the talisman cursed

    [-22,33] · Divad Dleifrepok

    Go back to see Divad: he imbues the talisman with the curse and arranges to meet you in the basement. Come with 10 Iron and your friend of Follower of Pain rank or higher.

    

12. 12Perform the ritual

    [-22,33] · Divad Dleifrepok

    Go down to the bottom of the tower and take the hidden passage behind the bookcase, to the Ritual Room. Place the Follower of Pain on one of the first two cells and stand on the ritual cell, then talk to Divad to curse the iron.

    You must have the 10 Iron on you when you talk to Divad.

13. 13Capture a Lava Spirit

    Combat[-20,22] · Raaga

    Enter the cave and cross the first three maps. Raaga shows you three Lava Spirits in the distance: the fight starts. It can be done in a group, and the quest progresses for everyone who has it; solo, it is rather tough. You get a Lava Spirit as a follower character.

14. 14Deliver the iron and the spirit to Mulic Bere

    In the smiths' workshop, give the Cursed Iron and the Lava Spirit to Mulic.
