What to prepare

Two resources for Merlinmagus, a few rooms of the Koolich Cavern, and above all 3 Alchemists of level 80 or higher and 3 Farmers of level 40 or higher for the transgenesis. You can be one of them.

The 9 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Justfa Lafs

   Dialogue[-34,-58] · Justfa Lafs

   The quest starts on the first floor of the Tower of Orders, on the right: from the main entrance, go up the stairs and straight ahead. The Brakmarians burned down food warehouses for the Dragoturkeys, so you need to find a way to grow new grain as fast as possible.

   The city's alchemist can craft a Transgenesis spell, which speeds up grain growth. He needs 40 Edelweiss and 10 Ambusher Bud.

   

3. 3Bring the resources back to Merlinmagus

   Items[-29,-54] · Merlinmagus Ambrosius

   In exchange for the resources, Merlinmagus gives you a mixture, to be blended with mushrooms from Koolich's lair.

4. 4Collect the mushrooms

   Items[-17,8]

   Meet in front of the Koolich Cavern, at [-17,8] : you must be standing in front of the NPC to enter the Koolich Cavern dungeon. Clear the first two rooms until you reach an open area, Koolich's Lair. In the first room of the lair, at the bottom left, click the mushrooms to collect them.

   

5. 5Burn the mushrooms and the mixture

   [-17,8]

   Cross a few maps to the sixth room and click the pedestal with a flame, on the right, to burn the mushrooms and the mixture together. There is no need to continue the dungeon: you can leave.

6. 6Bring back the burned mixture

   Hand the burned mixture to Merlinmagus: he explains how to use it to make the oats grow faster.

7. 7Start the transgenesis

   [-30,-44] · Mac Ronald

   In the oat fields, place 3 Alchemists of level 80 or higher on the black marks and 3 Farmers of level 40 or higher on the white marks. Then talk to Mac Ronald to start the transgenesis. He advises you to visit Raymond Santho, in Astrub.

   You must be accompanied by Farmers and Alchemists, but you can be one of them.

   

8. 8Talk to Raymond Santho

   In Astrub, talk about the grain supply: tell him that his crops have been improved thanks to a transgenesis spell.

   

9. 9Go back to see Justfa Lafs

   Dialogue[-34,-58] · Justfa Lafs

   On the first floor of the Tower of Orders, announce that the mission is a success: there will be no more food problems. The quest ends and you obtain the Squire rank.
