What to prepare

Two things to prepare: the three ritual bloods, and the quest Pendulum Swinger's Guide, without which you can't enter Dark Vlad's Labyrinth. The fight against Da Rork is done in a group, the one against the Gargules with 4 players at most.

The 13 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Liam Nesswiltee

   Dialogue[-24,39] · Liam Nesswiltee

   The quest starts after The Divine Child, if you asked for the book at the Brakmar library. Liam Nesswiltee tells you the book was borrowed by Lethaline Sigisbul, whom you'll probably find at the militia in Brakmar.

   

2. 2Meet Lethaline Sigisbul at the militia

   Go to the militia in Brakmar, on the first map. Lethaline already knows you're interested in the book: she'll entrust it to you if you work for her. Thanks to it, she found a way to manipulate Goultard into serving the dark city, but the Bontarians are watching her: you'll be the one carrying out her plan.

   The Gisgoul Potion teleports you to Gisgoul's tower, at [-16,17]. Lethaline gives you a new one on every mission: you'll never have to make the trip on foot.

3. 3Join Lethaline in Gisgoul's tower

   Movement[-16,17] · Lethaline Sigisbul

   Use the Gisgoul Potion, then go up to the second-to-last floor of the tower: go behind the sacrificial statue, climb the stairs in front of you, then the ones on the left, and go through the big doors. Lethaline lays out her plan: first you need to find the Goultard family crypt and bring back some remains.

4. 4Collect the remains of Goultard's family

   In the Cemetery of the Tortured, the Goultards' crypt is the one that casts a light on the ground. Stand on the left cell, right in front of it, to enter. Inside, rummage through the only stone tomb.

5. 5Bring the remains back to Lethaline

   Items[-16,17] · Lethaline Sigisbul

   Go back to the top of Gisgoul's tower and give the remains to Lethaline. She is preparing a ritual and needs extra resources: 5 Vampire Blood, 10 Gobball Blood and 10 Scurvion Blood.

6. 6Bring the ritual bloods

   Items[-16,17] · Lethaline Sigisbul

   Once you've gathered the resources, head back up to the top of the tower. Lethaline lays the remains and bloods on the ground, recites an incomprehensible formula and swings a pendant over the mixture. She then asks you to place this pendant in Cabotine's tomb, Goultard's mother, and can teleport you there.

   The other dialogue choice doesn't teleport you: you'll have to walk to the cemetery.

7. 7Place the necklace on Cabotine's tomb

   Items[-14,36]

   Enter the Goultards' crypt through the left cell, in front of the glowing crypt. Click the stone tomb at the back of the crypt to place the pendant there.

   

8. 8Report to Lethaline

   [-16,17] · Lethaline Sigisbul

   Go all the way up the tower to announce that the mission is accomplished. Lethaline trusts you more and more: her mistress is a demoness named Minuit, who pointed out a Bwork useful to her plan. She asks you to find him and bring him back to the tower.

9. 9Defeat Da Rork

   Combat[-6,6] · Da Rork

   At the Bwork camp, Da Rork challenges you to a brawl. The fight can be done with several players. Once you win, the Bwork follows you as a follower character.

   Even with the other dialogue choice, the fight can't be avoided. That choice does update the quest, though: handy for doing the fight in one go with several characters.

10. 10Hand the Bwork prisoner over to Lethaline

    Go all the way up the tower to hand the Bwork prisoner over to Lethaline. Next step of the plan: draw Dark Vlad out of his labyrinth, who is none other than Goultard's dark side, using plans she entrusts to you.

11. 11Deposit the clues in Dark Vlad's Labyrinth

    Items[0,17] [-1,17] [-2,17] [-3,17] [-4,17]

    Go to the entrance at [0,16] and go down one map to enter Dark Vlad's Labyrinth. Just walk through the five maps [0,17], [-1,17], [-2,17], [-3,17] and [-4,17] : the objective updates by itself.

    To enter Dark Vlad's Labyrinth, you must have completed Pendulum Swinger's Guide.

12. 12Face Lethaline's creatures

    Join Lethaline at the top of the tower. With your missions done, she double-crosses you: she doesn't want a rumor about Goultard joining Rushu's ranks to get out, and throws a horde of creatures at you. The fight pits you against 4 Gargules and is limited to 4 players at most.

13. 13Collect Goultard's Childhood

    Talk to Lethaline again: she realizes she underestimated you and, to avoid your wrath, gives you the book Goultard's Childhood. The quest ends.
