What to prepare

Nothing to buy: everything is obtained during the quest, in the Cania Fields zone. Paro Cabanne asks for 10,000 kamas for the cape, but ends up not making you pay.

The 14 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Manala

   Dialogue[-34,-42] · Manala

   Her dad and mom aren't there, and Manala is bored. She'd like to play with the shell that makes the sea murmur: clues are hidden in a castle to the north and a castle to the south.

   

2. 2Inspect the two sandcastles

   Click the two sandcastles to get two pieces of text. Put together, they read: “Between the castles, past the gnawed plank, go until you're surrounded by the waves”.

3. 3Find the Shell of Murmurs

   Movement[-36,-43]

   Meet at [-36,-43] and click the pointed rock sticking out of the sand.

4. 4Give the shell to Manala

   Items[-34,-42] · Manala

   Manala listens to the sea, then wants to play something else: a larva skin cape that would turn its wearer into an animal. She needs a large larva skin to have it made.

5. 5Get a large larva skin

   Combat

   Fight a Plains Larva in the Cania Fields zone: the Large Plains Larva Skin drops automatically.

   The skin only drops from level 64 Plains Larvae.

6. 6Bring the skin to Paro Cabanne

   Items[-33,-54] · Paro Cabanne

   Go to the Tailors' Workshop in Bonta. Paro Cabanne warns that the cape will cost you dearly, but before talking price, she wants a Bill & Kall brand cord.

   

7. 7Ask for a cord at the grocery store

   Dialogue[-33,-57] · Connie Vini

   At the Bonta grocery store, Connie Vini has sold the last cords to a merchant who left for Astrub.

8. 8Talk to Cheeka

   Dialogue[-29,-46] · Cheeka

   Cheeka supervises the convoys between Bonta and Astrub. She refuses to stop the convoy, but has a Bill & Kall cord: she gives it to you if you thin out the wildlife in the fields.

   

9. 9Defeat the wildlife of the Cania Fields

   Combat

   In the Cania Fields zone, defeat 5 Green Mouse, 5 Beaztinga, 5 Plains Larva and 5 Plissken.

10. 10Get the cord from Cheeka

    Items[-29,-46] · Cheeka

    Go back to Cheeka and ask for your reward: she gives you the cord.

11. 11Have the cape made

    [-33,-54] · Paro Cabanne

    Give the cord to Paro Cabanne, who still asks for 10,000 kamas. On learning the cape is for Manala, she changes her tone: Manala's parents died at sea, and her big brother looks after her while hiding the truth from her. Paro doesn't make you pay.

12. 12Give the cape to Manala

    To thank you, Manala reveals to you the place where her brother hides his treasures.

13. 13Inspect the secret stash

    Click the objects under the arbors, on the right of the map: the place is private and run by Bonta.

14. 14Talk to Captain Malfe

    Dialogue[-26,-45] · Captain Malfe

    Talk to him about his “secret stash”. It's not a secret place: he thanks you for spending time with his sister, because he works hard to earn enough to take her on a tour of the World of Twelve. The quest ends.

Where does the Field Good Inc. quest start?

With Manala, in the Cania Fields at [-34,-42]. You must be at least level 50.

Where do I find the Shell of Murmurs?

In [-36,-43], under the pointed rock sticking out of the sand. The sandcastle clues at [-39,-49] and [-31,-38] and lead there.

Why doesn't the Large Plains Larva Skin drop?

It only drops from level 64 Plains Larvae. It then drops automatically at the end of the fight.

Do I need to pay the 10,000 kamas for the cape?

No. When Paro Cabanne learns the cape is for Manala, she gives it to you for free.
