The 16 quest steps
-
1Start the quest
Dialogue · Osamodas Priestess
It all depends on the order of your quests. If you finished Trouble in Paradise before A Sizeable Problem, Corporal Gobastol offers you the quest at the end of that one, at . If you did A Sizeable Problem first, or turned down the corporal's offer, it's the Osamodas Priestess who offers it to you, at .
Dialogue
- “Say that you're ready to begin the mission entrusted by Osamodas”
-
2Enter a Kabombz nest
Movement
The priestess sends you to inspect the mounds where the Kabombz live. In the Osavane, at , there is one of the colony's entrances (there are others). You must be able to shrink: with the Automatic Dimensional Reducer, which you already have, you get in without doing anything, and the shrinking isn't even noticeable.
-
3Try to talk to the Curious Quadrabz
Dialogue · Curious Quadrabz
In the Bzzkkbz Zowzrbz, the Curious Quadrabz seems disturbed by the big probe stuck in the nest: when it tries to touch it, it is thrown back. Talk to it again. It doesn't understand your language and tries in vain to communicate.
Dialogue
- “Ask the Quadrabz if the probe disturbs the Kabombz”
- “Remember that you're talking to an insect and imitate a wing flutter by going ‘bzzzzzz.’”
- “Reply ‘Bzz god Osamodas send bzz me among you, me come in bzz peace’”
At the second choice, the other answer is possible: it changes the rest of the dialogue only very slightly.
-
4Learn the Kabombz language
The conversation gives you another quest: complete Critters That Go Bzzzbz to learn the language of the Kabombz.
-
5Talk with the curious Quadrabz
Dialogue · Curious Quadrabz
Go back to the nest (access via the Toorbz at ). Explain to the Quadrabz that the probe raises the temperature: he doesn't understand why it gives off light and disturbing buzzing. Many insects are leaving the colony right now, but according to him it's not serious, the queens lay lots of eggs.
-
6Talk to Corporal Gobastol about the probe
Dialogue · Corporal Gobastol
At the outpost, the corporal can hardly believe it: his thermal probes are silent and give off no light. The repellent field that keeps insects away is working, though: he suspects sabotage. He gives you a flow switch to cut the field, and his Krosmoglob so you can contact him more easily.

7Chop the thermal probe's field
Go back to the nest and double-click the Flow Switch in your quest inventory. You get the “Thermal Probe Access” alteration, which lets you enter the probe. A buzzing escapes from it.
-
8Defeat the Kabombz guards
Combat · Buzzing Machine
Click on the probe to enter it. Inside you discover a Buzzing Machine that has no business being there. As you get closer, Kabombz appear to protect it: a fight starts, which can be done with several players.
Dialogue
- “Get ready for the fight”
Kabombz Guardfight · level 170 · 5,500 HP · 11 AP · 4 MP
-
9Ask the Curious Quadrabz for advice
Dialogue · Curious Quadrabz
Exit the probe through the hole in the center and complain about the guards to the Curious Quadrabz. The guards only obey the queens: they will leave only on their order.
-
10Convince the Kabombz queens
Dialogue
The Quadrabz gives you another quest: complete Laying Leaders. The queens, convinced of the danger the machine poses, promise to recall their guards.
-
11Study the Buzzing Machine
Dialogue · Buzzing Machine
Go back to and click on the probe again. No more guards this time, but there's no way to understand what the machine is for: you need the corporal's help.
Dialogue
- “Take the time to study the machine”
-
12Contact the corporal via Krosmoglob
· Corporal Gobastol's Krosmoglob
Double-click the Corporal Gobastol's Glob-Signal in your quest items, then talk to the Krosmoglob that appears and describe the machine. It looks like a modified Foggernaut device: the corporal decides to blow it up with his Krosmoglob and advises you to take cover.
If the Krosmoglob doesn't appear, exit the probe and enter it again.
-
13Blow up the machine
· Corporal Gobastol's Krosmoglob
Stand behind the big bolt on the left to avoid the debris, then talk to the Krosmoglob again: tell him you're safe and that he can send the orichoric energy. After the explosion, examine the Machine Reduced to Ash to find a piece of debris.
-
14Show the debris to the corporal
Items · Corporal Gobastol's Krosmoglob
Talk to the Krosmoglob again: a piece of turbine, a spring, and above all a part that emits a signal. It's a distress beacon: whoever installed the machine may show up. The corporal advises you to put the beacon back in place and turn into a Kabombz to unmask them.
-
15Unmask the cult
The Krosmoglob gives you one last quest: complete Insectarianism. It validates “Learn more about the builders of the machine”, then the objective “Put an end to the cult's meddling in the dimension”, which appears along the way.
-
16Go back to the Osamodas Priestess
Dialogue · Osamodas Priestess
Order is restored in the nests, but the seasons remain disrupted: the investigation continues with the zarbivores. The quest ends.
Dialogue
- “Announce that you destroyed the cult's idol that was harming the insects”
