The 7 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Kerub Crepin

   Dialogue[3,-17] · Kerub Crepin

   Right after the previous quest, Kerub offers to set a trap for the crook: you'll pose as a buyer for the temple statue, and he'll spread the rumor.

2. 2Order the posters from Prent

   Dialogue[7,-19] · Prent

   Give Kerub's Purse to Prent. He agrees to make the posters and put them up.

3. 3Start the rumor

   Dialogue

   Talk to three residents and choose Start the rumor about buying a statue.

   • [1,-21] talk to Alberta Borida

4. 4Find an Amaknian Investigator

   Movement[3,-21] [1,-17] [7,-15] [7,-19]

   Look for an Amaknian Investigator, who is also on the crook's trail. There is normally one on each of these maps. He doubts your plan, but agrees to follow you just in case.

5. 5Unmask Hipo Litic

   [6,-19] · Hipo Litic

   Wait in front of the temple. Hipo Litic approaches you, introducing himself as the head of Astrub's religious heritage. When he gets to the sale price, bring in your accomplices, then talk to the Amaknian Investigator to convince him to settle the matter with the militia.

   

6. 6Take the crook to the militia

   [5,-19] · Igor Ant

   Talk to Hipo Litic again to take him away, then hand him over to Igor Ant at the militia. His true identity: Victor, former Count of Lustig, disgraced for counterfeiting, who even sold King Allister's castle to the Parafiole corporation.

   

7. 7Talk to Hipo Litic in prison

   Dialogue[5,-19] · Hipo Litic

   Go down to the basement and talk to Hipo Litic, now behind bars. The quest ends.
