What to prepare

Daily quest, reset at 7h. You just need to be able to do the Scaraleaf Dungeon: if you don't have its key on your keyring, Harry Kwismas gives it to you. For better rewards, equip the hat and cloak of the Father Kwismas set.

The 4 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Harry Kwismas

   Dialogue[4,0] · Harry Kwismas

   Harry Kwismas is distraught: the boxes containing the upcoming Kwismas gifts have been stolen by dungeon keepers. For the 20 to 80 bracket, he sends you to retrieve the one held by the Golden Scarabugly. Finishing this quest three times earns The Dungeon Star.

   1. “Ask what's wrong”

   The Just the Tonic! quest starts at the same time and ends with this one. After 2 hours, Harry Kwismas offers to change missions: this cancels Kwismas Preparations and replaces it with a Merry Kwismas quest, which doesn't count toward The Dungeon Star.

2. 2Equip the Father Kwismas set

   Optional: the box the boss drops depends on the number of Father Kwismas items equipped, hat and cloak. With no items, you get a Small Box of Gifts; with one item, a Box of Gifts; with both, a Large Box of Gifts.

3. 3Defeat the Golden Scarabugly

   Combat[1,26]

   The Golden Scarabugly is the boss of the Scaraleaf Dungeon. Defeat it in a single fight, then go through the dungeon exit, which the game also asks you to discover. It drops a box of gifts depending on your equipment.

   The box drops only in a dungeon: an arena fight doesn't count.

4. 4Give the crate to Harry Kwismas

   Items[4,0] · Harry Kwismas

   Go back to Harry Kwismas to hand over the box. The reward depends on the box: 1 Wonderful Kwismas Gift for the small one, 2 for the regular one, 3 for the large one, with XP each time. The quest ends, advances The Dungeon Star and completes Just the Tonic!.

XP depends on your level: 4,742,984 XP at level 200. Depending on the level bracket, the quest gives 4,760, 23,960 or 44,760 kamas. Add 1 to 3 Wonderful Kwismas Gift depending on the box brought back.

Related quests

The quest is repeatable every day, from 7h, with the same dungeon as long as you stay in the same bracket. It exists in three versions with the same name, one per bracket: 81 to 140, Dragon Pig and 141 to 200, Soft Oak. Each bracket counts as one completed quest; redoing the same one only counts once. Completed three times, it completes The Dungeon Star.

Where does the Kwismas Preparations quest start?

With Harry Kwismas, in Amakna Village at [4,0]. You must be level 20, have visited Kwismas Island this year and have started The Dungeon Star.

Which boss do I fight?

It depends on your level bracket. 20 to 80: Golden Scarabugly; 81 to 140: Dragon Pig; 141 to 200: Soft Oak.

Do I need the Scaraleaf Dungeon key?

No. If you don't have it on your keyring, Harry Kwismas gives it to you.

Can I switch dungeons?

Yes, after 2 hours, but it's not recommended. Harry Kwismas then cancels the quest and gives you Merry Kwismas, which doesn't count toward The Dungeon Star.

How do I get the Large Box of Gifts?

By equipping Father Kwismas's hat and cloak during the boss fight. It gives 3 Wonderful Kwismas Gift, versus 1 for the small box.

When can I redo Kwismas Preparations?

The next day, from 7h. Within the same level bracket, the dungeon stays the same.
