What to prepare

Nothing to buy: set aside 15 minutes for the hunt. The shells are picked up on the beaches of Vulkania.

1. 1Talk to Thomas Cork

   Thomas Cork offers you a shell hunt. The quest starts at the same time as a Shell Hunt quest (for Tourists, for Amateurs, for Specialists or for Experts): the goal is the same, pick up as many shells as possible in 15 minutes. The difference: Summer Gathering is only completed with a score of at least 80.

2. 2Pick up the shells

   Collect

   The Hunt Ticket shows the time you started: you have 15 minutes to finish. The shells are found in different spots on the beaches, often several on the same map. Number of shells per map:

   • [-54,44] 8 shells
   • [-55,44] 7 shells

   The shells are shared by all players: if someone picks one up, it disappears for you too. They grow back in about 2 minutes. A Sea Sauroshell, with 75% resistance everywhere, can attack you at random.

   

   

   

   

   

   

3. 3Count your points

   You can pick up four types of shells and a shoe. An assortment of 4 different shells is worth 15 points, far more than shells handed in one by one: Accio Shell 5 points, Restla Shell 3 points, Sandka Shell 2 points, Charlisagen Shell 1 point, Used Sole 0 point.

4. 4Bring the shells back to Thomas Cork

   Items[-49,44] · Thomas Cork

   When the time is up, give your shells to Thomas Cork, who checks whether you scored 80 points or more. With 80 points or more, the quest ends and is no longer triggered on your next hunts.

   Always hand in the assortments of 4 shells first to score as many points as possible. Below 80 points, the quest fails: you have to come back 20 hours later to start the hunt and this quest again at the same time.

Where does the Summer Gathering quest start?

Find Thomas Cork, in the Vulkania Village, in [-49,44]. It is available from level 1, after First Contact.

How many points do you need to complete Summer Gathering?

At least 80 points, in 15 minutes. Below that, the quest fails and you have to wait 20 hours to try again.

How many points is each shell worth?

15 points for an assortment of 4 different shells. Otherwise: Accio Shell 5, Restla Shell 3, Sandka Shell 2, Charlisagen Shell 1 and Used Sole 0.

Where can you find the shells?

On the beaches of Vulkania, notably in [-49,45], [-51,45], [-54,38] and [-53,37], which have 9 each. They grow back in about 2 minutes.

Why has a shell disappeared?

Another player picked it up. The shells are shared by everyone: you have to wait for them to grow back, about 2 minutes.

In what order should you hand in the shells?

The assortments of 4 different shells first. That is what earns the most points.
