What to prepare

Bring a Rikiki Wand to get past the gates of the Catacumbras, and enough to pay three NPCs: up to 131,000 kamas, less if you bring a Malitiamen Insignia and a Gangster Ring.

The 18 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Gein the Silent

   Dialogue[-4,0] · Gein the Silent

   At the Sram temple, take the message marked “Srambad”: it starts the quest. Echo is watching the high-ranking members of the order of travelers, and Gein is about to obtain espionage reports that prove it. You have to go and get them in Srambad.

   

2. 2Go see Anne Saulo

   Dialogue[1,6] · Anne Saulo

   Get your Rikiki Wand ready and, if possible, a Gangster Ring, then find the Srambad portal and take it. Anne Saulo refuses to give you the package: according to her, Gein came to pick it up in person.

3. 3Question Arielle

   Dialogue[4,3] · Arielle

   Ask the Sram girl Arielle if she saw Gein go by. She will only talk if you buy her a potion to turn into a little mermaid.

4. 4Buy the mermaid potion

   Items[8,4] · Ellie Ksire

   At the Srambad market, the elixir merchant Ellie Ksire sells the potion for 30,000 kamas or in exchange for a Malitiamen Insignia, which is bought at the outpost with orichor.

5. 5Give the potion to Arielle

   Arielle tells you she followed Gein the Silent to a passage in the Shadowy Heights.

6. 6Search the cardboard box

   [4,1]

   Discover the Shadowy Heights Passage and click on the cardboard box on the left of the map: you pull a Gein Disguise out of it. So the person who picked up the package is an impostor, trying to hide the evidence of Echo's guilt.

7. 7Question Roy Alpars

   Dialogue[4,1] · Roy Alpars

   On the same map, ask Roy Alpars about this disguise. He crossed paths with the person disguised as Gein: it is San Tress, who works for Mama Fia, and he went off to celebrate his victory at the tavern.

8. 8Investigate at the Torturer's Tavern

   [5,2] · In-Service Malitiaman

   There was a brawl in the tavern. Talk to the In-Service Malitiaman: the troublemakers were taken to prison.

9. 9Question San Tress

   Dialogue[7,2] · San Tress

   Access to the Srambad prison is discreet: hug the wall instead of going down the stairs. Ask San Tress to explain his disguise: he agrees to tell everything if you get him out of prison.

10. 10Get San Tress released

    [7,2] · Shrouded Canals Jailer

    Ask the Shrouded Canals Jailer to release San Tress: you have to give him at least 1,000 kamas. San Tress doesn't keep his word, and the documents are no longer in his jacket. Ask the Jailer again where they went: he has no idea.

11. 11Find a witness to the theft

    Go outside the prison and ask the Malitiamen Lookout if he witnessed the theft. Al Capote's men went into the prison empty-handed and came out with documents.

12. 12Talk to Ballotwine

    Dialogue[7,4] · Ballotwine

    The criminal Ballotwine is at the Srambad market. The documents he had stolen himself were stolen from him.

13. 13Pay Grima Fandanga

    Items[7,4] · Grima Fandanga

    The skull merchant right next door saw Ballotwine's thief but wants a reward. Give her a Gangster Ring or 100,000 kamas: the thief is the Grey Mauser, who left for the Catacumbras.

14. 14Get past the Catacumbras gates

    [8,6]

    In the Catacumbras, Ballotwine lost sight of the Grey Mauser. Equip your Rikiki Wand and slip between the sewer bars. Listen to the conversation between the Grey Mauser and Fraktor: you are quickly spotted.

15. 15Defeat Svivomito and his Milirats

    Combat[8,6] · Svivomito

    Talk to Svivomito, who has just appeared, to start the fight. It is done solo, in 3 waves, with Fraktor at your side. After the victory, search the Milirats' corpses: you get a Svivomito's Contract.

    Remember to put your real weapon back on in place of the Rikiki Wand before the fight.

16. 16Go back to the market

    Movement[8,3] · Miss Eloc

    Morora tells you where the Grey Mauser may have fled. At the Srambad market, Miss Eloc tells you that someone is waiting for you in the alley on the right.

    

17. 17Meet Ecaflippy

    Dialogue[9,3] · Ecaflippy

    On the map to the right, Ecaflippy is actually the queen of Srambad. Everyone is hunting for these documents, which are worth a lot: she is the one who hired the Grey Mauser to recover them. She gives you a copy: reports on Colonel O'Whel, Gladis, Gizmond Quelyn and Doctor B'boing.

18. 18Show the reports to Gein

    Items[-4,0] · Gein the Silent

    Go back to the Sram temple and show the Espionage Reports to Gein the Silent: they prove that the Explorancienne does not trust the travelers. The quest ends.
