What to prepare

Nothing to gather: plan for a fight against a horde of snowfoux, which can be done with several players.

The 3 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Merton Valend

   Dialogue[-81,-75] · Merton Valend

   The quest starts in Asparah Gorge, with Merton Valend, who seems to be coming back from Snowbound Village. His expedition has just been surprised by a horde of snowfoux: he asks you for help.

   

2. 2Fight the snowfoux

   Combat[-81,-75] · Maho Izalf-Rosen

   Talk to the Maho Izalf-Rosen to try to find a compromise. Nothing works against these beasts: you have to let your weapons do the talking. A fight starts, it can be done with several players.

   If you lose the fight, or if you start another fight on the map (a solo monster, for example), all the NPCs disappear: only a traumatized Merton Valend remains, and you only get the base reward.

3. 3Talk to Merton Valend again

   Dialogue[-81,-75] · Merton Valend

   Merton Valend thanks you for saving them. He asks you not to tell Mayor Cantile about their excursion: they are normally not allowed to have contact with the inhabitants of Snowbound Village. The quest ends.

The rewards

The dialogue and the reward depend on the fight. If you won it, the NPCs survived, you get snowfoux remains, and Merton Valend gives you 10,000 kamas and 3 Ice Kama on top of the base reward. If you lost, you only get the base reward.
