The 7 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Oto Mustam

   Dialogue[-25,33] · Oto Mustam

   Oto Mustam confirms that the Bontarian equipment was made by an incompetent smith. It can't be Bonta's smith, but he would like to keep him from getting involved. First you need 5 Hurrian Hammers, to swap for the incompetent smith's tools.

   

2. 2Gather 5 Hurrian Hammer

   Items

   Buy the hammers, or craft them: each Hurrian Hammer requires 3 Translucent Petal and 3 Ash Wood, so 15 of each for the five.

3. 3Show the hammers to Oto Mustam

   Items[-25,33] · Oto Mustam

   Oto gives you three tasks: stop Bonta's smith from poking his nose into the supply, congratulate the incompetent smith on behalf of Bonta so that he keeps supplying the militia with poorly forged equipment, and replace his hammers with yours.

4. 4Question Kosuke Ichazum

   Dialogue[-30,-56] · Kosuke Ichazum

   Ask Bonta's smith, who supplies the militia's equipment: he's a certain Latem Sa, who works in the Astrub forge.

   

5. 5Encourage Latem Sa

   [7,-16] · Latem Sa

   Talk to Latem Sa about the work he does for Bonta, then encourage him by giving him a bonus of 1,000 kamas. He has to stop by Two-Fingers to pick up resources and invites you to leave.

6. 6Swap the tools and steal the ore

   Items[7,-16]

   Leave the forge, then enter again. Latem Sa is gone: replace his tools with the 5 Hurrian Hammers and steal some ore. You get his Smith's Hammers and a Crate of Ore.
