What to prepare

Nothing to gather. Keep the Watch Running Slow and the Watch Running Fast within reach to move from one era to another, and come with a group for the fight.

The 10 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Florin

   Dialogue[4,-6] · Florin

   Tell Florin what year you are in. Pursued by a horde of zombified Chafers, he went through a temporal disturbance with his friend Hael and was thrown several centuries back. He hopes Hael arrived in the same era and asks you to help find him.

2. 2Search for Hael's first traces

   Movement[2,-5] [5,-5] [5,-4]

   The first traces are found randomly on one of these three maps. Hael isn't there and surely won't come back.

3. 3Find more traces at [1,-4]

   Movement[1,-4]

   From [2,-5], use the Watch Running Slow once to move into the previous zone, cross it, then use the Watch Running Fast to return to the Uncertain Future. Two maps further on, you find traces of Hael at [1,-4].

4. 4Talk to the wounded Fugitive

   Dialogue[1,-4] · Injured Fugitive

   Attacked by a horde of Chafers, she was saved by the other Fugitives. The Chafers fled, but she didn't see whether Hael was with them.

5. 5Warn Florin

   Dialogue[1,-4] · Florin

   Tell Florin about the altercation between the Fugitive and the Chafers.

6. 6Find the Strange Figurine

   Movement[2,-3] · Florin

   Search for traces again two maps further on and click on the sort of will-o'-the-wisp at the bottom right. Show the figurine to Florin, who followed you: he had given it to Hael, who has probably fled to another era.

7. 7Defeat the zombified Chafers

   Combat[2,2]

   Use the Watch Running Slow to return to the Present. Attack the group of zombified Chafers: you must defeat 8 in a single fight.

   These Chafers are much stronger than normal Chafers: come with several players.

8. 8Talk to Hael

   Dialogue[2,2] · Hael

   Hael appears after the fight. He had been hiding: you saved his life.

9. 9Talk to Florin and the Time Brigadier

   Dialogue[2,2] · Time Brigadier

   Florin plans to return to his time with a space-time teleporter. A Time Brigadier arrives: deny all his suspicions, as Florin asked you to. He takes you in anyway, convinced you come from the future, and announces five years of proceedings.

10. 10Talk to Pret Fnut

    Dialogue[2,2] · Pret Fnut

    Pret Fnut appears: all of this was a very well-organized joke, and you pulled it off like a pro. The quest ends.

With the Watch Running Slow. The fight against the zombified Chafers takes place at [2,2].

Can the fight against the zombified Chafers be done in a group?

Yes, and it is recommended: the 8 zombified Chafers are much stronger than normal Chafers.
