Nothing to gather: you just need to be able to defeat two gas creatures, solo or in a group.

The 9 quest steps

1. 1Listen to Dolores Kimo

   Dialogue[-55,-57] · Dolores Kimo

   After the previous quest's fight, Dolores admits that the sabotage isn't her doing: she taught the art of sabotage to workers at the frozen lake.

   

2. 2Report the confessions to Aurora Borealis

   Items[-61,-58] · Aurora Borealis

   Aurora doesn't buy it: as far as she's concerned, Dolores lied. Just then, Francky arrives, exhausted. Talk to him on the same map: another boiler has exploded, and he suggests heading to Alma's Cradle while you're at it.

   

3. 3Question the Ego Flagship Company Agent

   Dialogue[-58,-69] · Ego Flagship Company Agent

   Ask the Agent whether he saw anything unusual: he only crossed paths with two engineers. Talk to Francky on the same map: if any engineers had come through, Valy would know.

   

4. 4Find the Frigostian engineers

   Combat[-59,-71] · Frigostian Engineer

   Enter the cave and talk to one of the Frigostian Engineers, who asks you for help. Then talk to one of the two gas creatures to fight them: the fight can be done in a group.

5. 5Unmask the fake engineers

   [-59,-71] · Frigostian Engineer

   After the fight, tell one of the engineers that you know everything. Then talk to the Ego Flagship Company Agent who appeared on the map: he advises taking them to the militia and teleports you in front of the building.

6. 6Question the prisoners

   Dialogue[-76,-42] · Clyde Parker

   Enter the militia and ask Clyde Parker where the fake engineers are. Threaten one of them: they wanted to stop the glaciation from ending, which would melt the ice hotel, the work of their whole lives.

   

7. 7Report back to Lou Bricante

   [-77,-42] · Lou Bricante

   Report the results of your investigation to Lucette. She wants to question the prisoners.

   

8. 8Pass the orders on to Clyde Parker

   [-76,-42] · Clyde Parker

   Tell Clyde to keep the prisoners for Lucette. Too late: he has already released them, against bail paid by Aurora Borealis.

9. 9Confront Aurora Borealis

   Dialogue[-61,-58] · Aurora Borealis

   Talk to her about the saboteurs. She defends those who believe in her hotel and refuses to hand over her workers. The quest ends.

Where does the Wind Breaker quest start?

With Dolores Kimo, in the Lonesome Pine Trails at [-55,-57], right after the Heaters and Beaters fight.

Where are the gas creatures?

In the cave in [-59,-71], near the passage to Alma's Cradle. Talk to one of them to start the fight.

Is the fight done solo?

No, it can be done in a group. You need to defeat both gas creatures in a single fight.

What does Wind Breaker reward?

Does Wind Breaker have a sequel?

No. It's the last of the six quests in the Icepits achievement.
