The 10 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Amayiro

   Dialogue[-32,-57] · Amayiro

   At the militia, Amayiro thinks he will find, in the bandit hideout, who the traitor feeding them information is. The council refuses to send men there: it tasks you with finding a key to the hideout and going there with people you trust.

   

2. 2Pay Hersa Dark Claw

   Items[-30,-53] · Hersa Dark Claw

   For 2,000 kamas, Hersa Dark Claw tells you about her ex-lover: his name is Grimpil and he should be at the Bagrutte Inn.

3. 3Question Ecaline

   In the Bagrutte Inn, Ecaline confirms that Grimpil came by: the innkeeper had to call militiamen, including Captain Alrok, to make him stop pestering the waitress.

   

4. 4Question Captain Alrok

   Dialogue[-31,-56] · Captain Alrok

   Near the Bonta zaap, Captain Alrok tells you that he imprisoned Grimpil, then had to release him on a superior's orders, supposedly because of a risk of fleas and ticks. His men are watching him: he often hangs around near the orders tower.

   

5. 5Collect Grimpil's key

   Combat[-32,-58] · Grimpil

   Talk to Grimpil about the plains bandits and demand a key to their hideout. Two choices: pay 10,000 kamas and avoid the fight, or take the key by force. After a possible fight, talk to him again to get the key.

6. 6Show the key to Amayiro

   Amayiro advises you to go see Liroye Merline to make duplicates if you want to go into the hideout with friends.

7. 7Have the key copied at Liroye Merline's

   Ask her how to copy a key and give her 5 Pastry Board: she hands you 14 Nowaine Jelly. A key copy is crafted as a Handyman of at least level 1, with 1 Nowaine Jelly, 1 Wild Grass and 1 Bakelelite, one for each friend you want to bring along.

   If you hit hard enough, with a companion, the hideout fight can be handled solo: there is then no need to craft copies.

8. 8Search the bandit hideout

   [-12,-44]

   Alone or with friends carrying a key, click the wood behind the rocks to go down to the basement, then enter the neighboring room and start the fight against the bandits, which can be done in a group. Their spells: Feline Thought (500 Earth on contact, teleports and reduces the duration of the target's effects by 1), Predestined (450 Earth, -4 MP, pushes or pulls 4 cells), Blueff (350 Air or Water), Reactive (270 Air in a cross, 15% erosion for 2 turns, 20 on a critical hit), Aggravated Flair (2 to 3 AP and MP given or removed for 3 turns, in a circle of radius 5) and Discernment (19 to 24 Damage for 3 turns in a circle of radius 5, reveals the invisible and heals).

   You need 1 Climbing Rope to go down to the basement.

   

9. 9Collect the documents

   After the fight, click the documents lying on the bottom table to pick up confidential Bonta documents.

10. 10Report to Amayiro

    Give the confidential documents to Amayiro. The quest ends and unlocks the next one.

How many kamas should I plan for?

At least 2,000 kamas, for Hersa Dark Claw. Count 10,000 more kamas to get Grimpil's key without fighting.

Where can you find Grimpil?

In [-32,-58], near the Bonta orders tower. Pay him or take the key by force.

Do you need to craft copies of the key?

Only if you are coming as a group. Each copy requires 1 Nowaine Jelly, 1 Wild Grass and 1 Bakelelite, as a Handyman of level 1. With a companion and enough damage, the fight can be done solo.

How do you get into the bandit hideout?
