What to prepare

Bring a Universal Capturing Net to equip for the fight against Karnhell, and what you need to do the Long Slumber's Barrow dungeon. An Enchanterelle, obtained during Where There's Smoke..., will save you some detours.

The 8 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Hell Mina

   Dialogue[-4,15] · Hell Mina

   Hell Mina is venting her anger on a burning bush: her karne, Karnhell, has run away again to eat berries in the forest. She cannot leave the barrow, where she guards a block, without angering Dark Vlad. Promise to bring the karne back in exchange for information about what she is protecting: she does not believe you are capable of finding it.

2. 2Follow the trail of berries

   Movement

   Karnhell loves forest berries: examine the berry bushes in this order. The first ones have been devoured; at [-2,16], a few nibbled berries remain, the karne is not far now.

   • [-4,15] inspect the berry bush on the right, on the starting map
   • [-4,14] inspect the berries at the foot of the tree, on the left
   • [-3,14] inspect the berries in the center
   • [-3,15] inspect the berry bush at the bottom left
   • [-2,16] check the berry bush on the right
   • [-1,16] examine the berry shrub at the top right

   

3. 3Track down Karnhell

   Dialogue[-1,16] · Karnhell

   In [-1,16], crushed berries are lying on the ground, and a creature unhappy about the mess appears behind you. Talk to Karnhell: she is not aggressive toward you, but angry at the Malters who stole her berries.

4. 4Collect 20 Evil Berry

   Items

   To win the karne over, take the berries back from the Malters: 20 Evil Berry, which drop at 100% from every monster in the Dark Vlad's Labyrinth area.

   The berries also drop in the dungeon, but you will have to redo it later by necessarily entering room 1.

5. 5Tame Karnhell

   Combat[-1,16] · Karnhell

   Equip the Universal Capturing Net, then go back to Karnhell and give her the berries. She feasts, and you get the idea of taking advantage of it to capture her: a fight starts, alone. Karnhell is invulnerable: make her climb to The Hunter Hunted V, then cast the Mount Taming spell to end the fight.

   Do not cast Mount Taming before your turn 5, or you will be killed in one hit.

6. 6Bring Karnhell back to Hell Mina

   Items[-3,19] · Hell Mina

   Karnhell follows you: lead her to Hell Mina, at [-3,19]. She refuses to honor a deal she never accepted, but being too talkative, she admits that the barrow holds something precious trapped in a block of amber by one of the dragons that laid the primordial Dofus. Dark Vlad would like to free it to unleash evil.

7. 7Defeat Hell Mina

   Combat[-3,19]

   Follow Hell Mina into the barrow: enter the Long Slumber's Barrow dungeon and defeat her in a single fight.

   For the quest to update, you absolutely must enter room 1 of the dungeon.

8. 8Talk to Hell Mina

   Dialogue[-3,19] · Hell Mina

   At the end of the dungeon, Hell Mina forbids you to approach the amber. Wave at her karne, Karnhell: she does not like that either, she is afraid you will steal her. The quest ends.

   Then talk to Karnhell, at the end of the dungeon, to continue Where There's Smoke....

Where does the Catch Her If You Can quest start?

With Hell Mina, in Dark Vlad's Labyrinth at [-4,15]. The recommended level is 150.

Where can I find Karnhell?

In [-1,16], at the end of the trail of berries. Inspect the bushes at [-4,15], [-4,14], [-3,14], [-3,15], [-2,16] then the shrub at the top right of [-1,16].

Where can I find the Evil Berries?

From every monster in Dark Vlad's Labyrinth, at 100%. You need 20. They also drop in the dungeon, provided you redo it by going through room 1.

How do I defeat Karnhell?

By taming her, not by killing her. She is invulnerable: make her start her turns on the red glyphs until The Hunter Hunted V, then cast Mount Taming, never before your turn 5. An equipped Universal Capturing Net is required.

Why does the quest not update in the dungeon?

You must enter room 1 of Long Slumber's Barrow. Then defeat Hell Mina in a single fight.
