What to prepare

Before attacking Hell Mina's dungeon, get at least 1 Enchanterelle: it's not mandatory, but it saves a detour.

The 10 quest steps

1. 1Talk to the Serene Spirit

   Dialogue[24,-35] · Serene Spirit

   Right after the previous quest, the Serene Spirit tells you about the Evil Forest. Beware of the Malters at the edge, less harmless than they look: you will have to widen your field of awareness to see beyond appearances.

   

2. 2Enter Dark Vlad's Labyrinth

   Movement[-5,13]

   Meet at [-5,13] and go down one map. You can then enter and leave freely through any of the five entrances: [-5,13], [-7,16], [-6,20], [-5,23] and [0,16].

   You must have completed Pendulum Swinger's Guide to enter Dark Vlad's Labyrinth.

3. 3Collect an Enchanterelle

   Items

   Enchanterelles drop from the Malters of the Orée enchantée, only if the quest is in progress or completed, with a base chance of 5%. Talk to the Malter NPCs to start a fight against 2 to 4 monsters, which can be done in a group of 2 to 4. They come back after 15 minutes.

4. 4Avoid being detected by the mound's guardian

   Dialogue · Karnhell

   The objective appears as soon as you enter the Evil Forest: complete Catch Her If You Can. You are now at the end of Hell Mina's dungeon, in front of a big block of amber caught in brambles. To lure Hell Mina away, talk to her favorite mount, Karnhell, who recognizes you: she runs off to fetch the stone, and Hell Mina goes after her.

5. 5Reveal Terrakourial's Seal

   [-3,19]

   Consume the Enchanterelle: the blessing “Beneath the Surface”, valid for 10 fights, lets you see the invisible and reveals Terrakourial's Seal.

   Without an Enchanterelle, leave the dungeon, go get one, then come back without redoing the dungeon by choosing “Pretend you just ran into Karnhell at the foot of the mound”.

6. 6Survive the bite of the fire

   Combat[-3,19] · Terrakourial's Seal

   Talk to Terrakourial's Seal: it breaks under Hell Mina's flames. A solo fight starts. At the Stake hits you for 350 Fire at the end of each of your turns; the opponent also casts Ignition (50 Fire) and Pyrolysis (100 Fire as life steal, up to 3 RNG).

7. 7Place the three purified ambers

   Talk to the seal again. The fire goes out and the dragon's seal regenerates, but cold, spectral flames consume it in turn.

8. 8Find the source of the cold flames

   Combat[-6,18]

   Enter the Blairouiche cottage and stand on the top left corner cell of the room: a solo fight starts.

9. 9Approach the fire in the centre of the pentagram

   [-6,18]

   Once the fight is over, access to the basement is unsealed. Go down by the staircase in the top right corner and click on the cold flame in the center of the pentacle: you are teleported to the astral plane.

10. 10Talk to the Firebrand Spirit

    Dialogue · Firebrand Spirit

    The Esprit boutefeu, next to an enormous bonfire of cold flames, makes it clear that you don't belong in the spirit world. The quest ends: continue the conversation to unlock Feisty Spirits.
