Clandestine Messenger

What to prepare

Nothing to gather or fight: you just have to deliver eight letters in Srambad, in whatever order you like.

The 11 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Frank Lee Smisse

   Dialogue[5,1] · Frank Lee Smisse

Frank Lee Smisse wants to invite several gang leaders to a meeting. Since the portals opened, she has been under surveillance: she asks you to deliver the letters in her place, in exchange for what she knows about the Queen of Thieves.

The order below is only a suggestion: the letters can be delivered in whatever order you like.

2. 2Hand the letter to Mama Fia

   Items[5,0] · Mama Fia

Go meet Mama Fia, hand her the letter, then go deliver the next one.

3. 3Hand the letter to Diashin Darkeyes

   Items[5,-2] · Diashin Darkeyes

Diashin Darkeyes, head of the Mort-au-Kwoan thieves' guild, is found on a hidden map. Click the blue fire to open a secret passage. Hand her Frank's letter: she asks you to wait while she checks that the letter doesn't say to assassinate the messenger, then lets you go.

The secret passage only lets one character through, unless you are very fast.

4. 4Hand the letter to Gobikahn

   Items[4,3] · Gobikahn

Give another envelope to Gobikahn. He is not happy, because he is unable to decipher the letter, and is about to attack you. A goblin, Zap Gobdon, comes to your rescue.

You may need to have completed the quest Orichomania to continue, since Zap Gobdon is the one who steps in. This point is not confirmed.

5. 5Thank Zap Gobdon

   Dialogue[4,3] · Zap Gobdon

Talk to Zap Gobdon, whom you helped in Enurado, to thank him. He suggests you meet him at the tavern as soon as you have time: he will need your help.

6. 6Hand the letter to Madame Hyrda

   Items[5,3] · Madame Hyrda

Continue the deliveries with Madame Hyrda, who doesn't even bother to open the letter.

7. 7Hand the letter to Al Capo

   Items[5,2] · Al Capo

Go up to the map above and enter the tavern. Al Capo doesn't appreciate being disturbed for an invitation from Frank, but in a fit of good humor, he lets you go unpunished.

8. 8Hand the letter to Rufiette

   Items[8,4] · Rufiette

Hand a letter to Rufiette, who hurries to decode the message and accept the invitation.

9. 9Hand the letter to Venimus

   Items[8,8] · Venimus

Go see the charming Venimus, necrotic hunter, and hand her her letter.

10. 10Hand the last letter to The Butcher

    Items[6,7] · The Butcher

Finish your round by giving the last envelope to The Butcher. Let him know that the letter is coded, so that he puts off reading it until later.

11. 11Go back to see Frank Lee Smisse

    Dialogue[5,1] · Frank Lee Smisse

With all the letters delivered, report the completed work to Frank Lee Smisse. She reveals that the mother of the Queen of Thieves might still be alive, which would make for strong leverage, and that only she knows the Queen's real first name. The quest ends.
