Fanfail

What to prepare

Nothing to gather in advance: the kamas to bribe the militia are collected from the residents of Srambad during the quest.

The 12 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Sergeant Resaca

   Dialogue[2,2] · Sergeant Resaca

Ask him how to prove that you are not the good-for-nothing he imagines. He gives you a small mission: check on Agent Gklung, who left to hold auditions for the Voyagers' brass band.

2. 2Defend Agent Gklung

   Combat[7,3] · Agent A. Klung

Gklung has found good musicians, especially on percussion, but 8 Malitiamen are stopping him from going to make his report and attack you both, along with their leader Inky Kartridge. Up to 6 other characters can join you, with you and the agent taking two spots.

   Don't let Agent Gklung die.

   • Inky Kartridgefight · levels 122 to 130 · 2,900 to 3,300 HP · 10 AP · 4 MP

3. 3Talk to Agent Gklung again

   Dialogue[7,3] · Agent A. Klung

The Malitiamen offered him protection in exchange for kamas: his refusal explains the attack. For him to hold his auditions in peace, you must gather kamas and pay the Malitiamen.

4. 4Steal a bag from Aladingy

   [6,2] · Aladingy

Go up the stairs. Aladingy is looking for his flying carpet to transport his bags of kamas to the Shadowy Heights: distract him and steal a bag from him.

5. 5Propose a deal to Luke Lancastel

   Dialogue[8,4] · Luke Lancastel

Luke wants to steal the lightning bolts: offer to steal them in his place for a good purse. He accepts and pays you a small purse in advance.

6. 6Collect the bag of kamas

   Items[8,3]

On the map above, click the bag with the blue base to collect kamas.

7. 7Bribe the Unruly Malitiaman

   [9,3] · Unruly Malitiaman

Ask him to leave Gklung alone. He doesn't like the auditionees' music, but wave the kamas under his nose: he agrees.

8. 8Bribe the Malitiamen Lookout

   [7,2] · Malitiamen Lookout

Go through [6,2], then right onto the ledge. Ask her to defend Gklung if anything happens to him: she has received many complaints about the noise, but once paid, she agrees to turn a blind eye and protect him.

9. 9Bribe the Arrogant Malitiaman

   [6,1] · Arrogant Malitiaman

Give her kamas for Agent Gklung's protection.

10. 10Reassure Agent Gklung

    Dialogue[7,3] · Agent A. Klung

Tell him that he has nothing more to fear in this area of the divine dimension.

11. 11Report back to Sergeant Resaca

    [2,2] · Sergeant Resaca

The Sergeant is glad his agent is in good health, even though he is against the brass band. He sends you to deliver a message to Diashin Darkeyes.

12. 12Propose the truce to Diashin Darkeyes

    Dialogue[5,-2] · Diashin Darkeyes

Climb to the top of the Shadowy Heights and click the blue fire to open a secret passage. Talk to Diashin about the truce proposed by the Sergeant: delighted, she sees it as a chance for her men to steal in peace again. The quest ends.
