The fights

Main Trap

Main Trap

Level 200

Solo fight, in the Gravity state and with no MP. Aim for the white cells at the top of the map. The Harpooners strike directly, the bow meows throw glyphs at you that easily hit for 500. The “robots” advance toward you each turn along the black line: they don't strike, but steal your HP. The Main Trap and the Dragoones, which are invulnerable, apply painful poisons. Purple glyphs give a shield, glyphs in a yellow line deal damage. If your class can dispel or heal, advance calmly, removing your poisons or healing yourself. Otherwise, first eliminate the monsters that hit you, recovering your HP with Cat Litter as soon as your vitality drops, then cross while avoiding the poisons.

  • Cautious Advance

Your spell: teleports you one cell, twice per turn, three times if you cast Cat Litter beforehand. Restores a little HP.

  • Cat Litter

Your spell: takes you back to the green glyph at the very bottom of the map, wherever you are, and restores all your HP.

Catcharoth

Catcharoth

Level 1600

Fight up to 8, with Drhuan as an ally. Catcharoth has an enormous amount of HP and resistances. Drhuan applies 200% extra damage taken every other turn if he can hit it in melee. Reduce its damage (taint, etc.) so that it hits less and heals less by stealing your HP, then keep attacking until the end. Spells noted in this fight:

  • Terrestrial Shock (Drhuan)

Hits for 200, removes 2 dodgeable MP from the bow meow, and either removes 50 MP dodge from it or adds 200% damage taken for 1 turn.

  • Treasure Finder (Drhuan)

Gives its allies, you, 10% critical for 1 turn.

  • Defense Penetrator

    Hits for about 200.

  • Inner Burning

Hits for 200 in Fire, in an area.

  • Red Maw

Hits for about 1,000 Earth, with life steal.

  • Claws of Thirst

Hits for 1,000 Water with life steal, removes 1,000 Power for 1 turn and applies 20% erosion for 2 turns.

  • Bandang

    Effect not detailed.
