What to prepare

Nothing to buy: plan for fights against the oddnivores, in the Bushy Reserve or the Osavanna. The quest advances in parallel with Prey to the Truths.

The 7 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Marlyze Pickens

   Dialogue[0,18] · Marlyze Pickens

   The quest starts right after you talk to Marlyze about the oddnivores' behavior, during Prey to the Truths. She asks you to study the behavior of the different oddnivore species.

2. 2Defeat three oddnivores of each species

   Combat

   Fight 3 Flashiraffes, 3 Rabbilopes, 3 Brutapirs, 3 Heapotamuses and 3 Goatphibians. They live in the Bushy Reserve, their home area, and in the Osavanna, the shared area.

   Tip: during the Birth season, if you are a level 200 Hunter, also start The Lone Foodie. Its meats drop from the oddnivores at 12% with a hunting weapon equipped: you advance both quests at the same time.

3. 3Report back to Marlyze

   All the oddnivores seem to suffer from some kind of depression, a loss of motivation. Marlyze suspects food poisoning and asks you to bring her droppings to analyze. The Prey to the Truths step updates.

4. 4Collect oddnivore droppings

   Collect

   Click on droppings on each of the five maps. Once everything is collected, the step “Keep searching for the cause of the oddnivores' changed behaviour” of Prey to the Truths updates, and an Animal Spirit appears.

   • [5,13] droppings on the stone at the top (Rabbilope)
   • [6,12] droppings at the foot of the golden horn (Flashiraffe)

   Recommended order: first talk to the Animal Spirit for Prey to the Truths (it sends you to fetch an apple from a Nimbos), then bring the droppings back to Marlyze.

5. 5Bring the samples to Marlyze

   Hand the droppings over to Marlyze so she can analyze them. While the analyses run, she invites you to go and do something else.

6. 6Progress through Prey to the Truths

   Continue the mission given by Osamodas: progress through Prey to the Truths until you meet Goddess Cra, who teleports you to the outpost. The step of this quest then updates.

7. 7Take stock with Marlyze

   [0,18] · Marlyze Pickens

   The analyses revealed nothing abnormal. But while running them, Marlyze felt watched: it would be neither poisoning nor disease, but an outside power that wants to harm Osamodas. The quest ends; continue Prey to the Truths in parallel.

Where do you find the oddnivores?

In the Bushy Reserve, their home area, and in the Osavanna. You need 3 of each species: Flashiraffe, Rabbilope, Brutapir, Heapotamus and Goatphibian.

Where are the oddnivore droppings?

One per map, at [3,13], [4,12], [5,13], [6,12] and [4,10]. Brutapir near the tent, Heapotamus and Goatphibian at the roots of a tree, Rabbilope on a stone, Flashiraffe at the foot of the golden horn.

Marlyze does not give the analysis results, why?

You must first progress through Prey to the Truths until you meet Goddess Cra, who teleports you to the outpost.
