What to prepare

Nothing to buy: everything is obtained during the quest. Plan for three fights, the last of which is solo.

1. 1Talk to Queen Viktoria

   Dialogue[23,24] · Queen Viktoria

   At the Sufokia palace, talk to Queen Viktoria again about the ransom demanded by Dantinea to free Dame Askning and her escort.

   

2. 2Talk to Nicole Portson

   Dialogue[23,24] · Nicole Portson

   Nicole ordered pearls from Pink Tada and jewels from several jewelers around the World of Twelve. She gives you three IOUs, one for each jeweler.

3. 3See the jeweler Gaul Smith

   Give her an IOU. Unfortunately, Gaul has been burgled and no longer has the jewels set aside for the ransom.

4. 4Defeat the Porco Smugglers

   Combat[0,32]

   Find the thieves in the Porco Territory. Question the Porco Smuggler about the chest he's hiding behind him: a fight starts against 2 Porco Smugglers, doable in a group.

5. 5Collect the chest

   Once the smugglers are defeated, talk to the Porcos chest to retrieve Gaul Smith's jewels.

6. 6See the jeweler Azra Lazarus

   Give her an IOU: she hands over her jewels.

   As soon as you leave, by Recall Potion or otherwise, two Sram Highwaymen attack you. The fight seems avoidable by leaving through the zaap of your Haven Bag.

7. 7See the jeweler Shani Sings

   At the jewelers' workshop, give the last IOU to Shani Sings to get her jewels.

8. 8Show the jewels to Nicole Portson

   Items[23,24] · Nicole Portson

   Show her the three jewels you collected. She gives you the pearls she received and asks you to go and deliver the ransom.

9. 9Request an audience with Cretula

   Combat[19,26] · Cretula

   Ask for an audience with the queen to hand over the ransom. You are then attacked by two Ambushing Trydes: the fight is solo.

10. 10Threaten Cretula

    [19,26] · Cretula

    Once the two Trydes are defeated, talk to Cretula again and threaten her.

11. 11Hand the ransom over to Dantinea

    Show the ransom to Dantinea, who hands over the prisoners. Dame Askning follows you as a follower character.

12. 12Take Dame Askning back to the camp

    Take Dame Askning back to the camp and talk to her: she thanks you for freeing her. The quest ends.

Where does the Ranswim quest start?

With Queen Viktoria, at the Sufokia palace at [23,24]. You must have completed Beauty Queen.

Where are the three jewelers?

Gaul Smith at [2,29], Azra Lazarus at [0,2] and Shani Sings at [6,-15], at the jewelers' workshop. Each one receives an IOU.

Gaul Smith no longer has the jewels, what do I do?

Go to [0,32] and beat the Porco Smugglers who burgled her. Then talk to the Porcos chest to retrieve the jewels.

Can you avoid the Sram Highwaymen?

Apparently yes, by leaving Azra Lazarus through the zaap of your Haven Bag rather than with a Recall Potion.

How do you beat the Ambushing Trydes?

Hit them often: each hit removes their invisibility for 1 turn and the power they have accumulated. The fight is solo.

Which quest follows Ranswim?

Real Triton Strategy, with Lieutenant Rayner at [21,27].
