The 11 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Meriana

   Dialogue[-6,-3] · Meriana

   First quest dedicated to the Emerald Dofus, held by Dark Vlad. To face him, Meriana must prepare a potion that weakens him: she needs six ingredients from the Nauseating Swamps.

   

2. 2Harvest the six ingredients

   Collect

   Follow this order so you don't get lost. When leaving Meriana's place, go left for the Putrid Clovers, then twice left for the Sanguine Roots. Go down twice, go right, go down, then left: the Odoriferous Bellflowers. Return to Meriana's house, go down one map and go right for the Marsh Flower, then go down two maps for the Slimy Stone. Finally, go back for the Marshy Plant.

   • [-9,0] pick the Odoriferous Bellflowers
   • [-5,-2] pick the Marsh Flower
   • [-5,0] pick up the Slimy Stone

   While harvesting, an Aggressive Crocodyl may attack you. It is easy to defeat, but avoid hitting it with Water: it resists it a lot.

3. 3Bring the ingredients back to Meriana

   Go back to Meriana's hut: she adds the ingredients to her big cauldron.

4. 4Taste the mixture

   [-6,-3]

   Click the cauldron to drink the potion, which looks… tasty.

5. 5Talk to Meriana again

   Dialogue[-6,-3] · Meriana

   Tell her you tasted the potion. You are still alive, so it worked: Meriana teleports you to the center of the Evil Forest, bypassing the maze.

6. 6Defeat Bewitched Hell Mina

   Combat[-5,17] · Hell Mina

   In Dark Vlad's clearing, ask Hell Mina, the Iop on the map, where Dark Vlad is. She has a bad temper and attacks you: the fight is solo.

   If you lose, you will have to go back to [-5,17] by yourself.

7. 7Read Dark Vlad's letter

   Once Hell Mina is defeated, you get a Dark Vlad's Letter. Double-click it in your quest items to read it: Dark Vlad has left his lair and entrusted its guard to Hell Mina.

8. 8Get out of the maze

   Movement[-5,17] · Hell Mina

   Potions don't work here. Rather than dying or retracing your steps, talk to Hell Mina: she throws you out at the entrance.

9. 9Show the letter to Meriana

   Items[-6,-3] · Meriana

   Go back to the swamp and show the letter to Meriana. She entrusts you with a memoriameter, Meriana's Compass, which follows the path Dark Vlad took to recover his memories.

10. 10Use the compass

    Double-click Meriana's Compass in your quest inventory: it points to a place Dark Vlad passed through, at [5,1].

11. 11Question Bowisse

    Dialogue[5,1] · Bowisse

    Ask the great cobbler Bowisse if he has seen Dark Vlad: he came by to pick up a pair of boots. The quest ends.
