The 10 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Meriana

   Dialogue[-6,-3] · Meriana

   Ask her whether she has found a way to summon the spirit of Furye. Four sorceresses once guarded the cardinal points of Amakna, and part of their powers is locked in totems: you must gather the 4 totems. To dig them up, you need an enchanted shovel, the witches' marks and, for some, the gods' blessing. Meriana entrusts you with a Bulging Purse to pay for the shovel.

2. 2Offer Rium a beer

   Combat[-35,-56] · Rium

   In Bonta, at the Feubuk tavern, buy 1 Feubuk Beer from Nek Feubuk if you don't have any, then give it to Rium. As he drinks it, he sees shadows approaching: Vengeful Shadows attack you, solo fight.

3. 3Order the shovel from Rium

   [-35,-56] · Rium

   After the fight, ask Rium if he is hurt, then ask him for an enchanted shovel to dig up magic totems. Show him the Bulging Purse: he agrees, but he needs resources to make the best shovel.

4. 4Bring the resources to the Smiths' Workshop

   Combat[-30,-56] · Rium

   Give the resources to Rium in the Smiths' Workshop. He forges and enchants the shovel, hands it to you, takes back the purse and runs off when he sees someone rising up behind you: the shadows attack again, solo fight.

5. 5Follow Fleeflee

   After the fight, a flea waves at you: follow it at [-32,-55], then at [-35,-57], and finally to the entrance of Bonta Palace at [-36,-60].

6. 6Talk to Joris Jurgen

   Dialogue[-36,-60] · Joris Jurgen

   You have caught the attention of the master of the Obscurati. Joris can help you stop being constantly attacked by Shadows: by continuing to talk to him, you start The Ghost and the Darkness, or you can simply carry on with your quest.

   

7. 7Show the shovel to Meriana

   Items[-6,-3] · Meriana

   Meriana suggests starting with her old totem and entrusts you with her Mark so you can dig it up in peace. You also need Pytch's blessing, who owes her a favor.

8. 8Get Pytch's blessing

   To the south, talk to the Disciple of Pytch at prayer and ask for the blessing. She mentions 51 quirky trials: interrupt her to say that you come on behalf of Meriana. Then you just need to bow before the altar.

9. 9Dig up the Totem of the South

   Equip the Terra Clan Shovel as a weapon, then click the bush to dig up the totem.
