What to prepare

You need to be a Handyman of level 30 or higher for the moumouse trap, and fight the monsters of the Kingdom of Paper for the ink drops.

The 12 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Pandawayang

   Dialogue[19,-21] · Pandawayang

   Pandawayang is a puppeteer hidden in a barrel. He is preparing a play based on a traditional Pandalan tale, but he is missing the Kianzhi, ink puppets. He sends you to check that nothing has happened to his supplier.

   

2. 2Get into the Kingdom of Ink

   Dialogue

   Two entrances: the Wukang sanctuary at [15,-31], by entering the cave then going right, or the Wukin sanctuary at [20,-38], via the Highland Kwak. The first time, talk to Daoh in the temple and answer his two questions: you get the Iroru Symbol, which opens the Kingdoms of Ink and Paper. Then leave the temple; to come back to Pandala, ask Daoh for it again at a sanctuary.

Second question: The Dragon of Pandala.

3. 3Meet Kugutsu

   Dialogue[-1,-2] · Kugutsu

   Kugutsu, the silhouette supplier, has not had time to fulfill the order. Offer her your help and listen to her five recommendations: the silhouettes can be obtained in any order you like.

4. 4Get the scholar silhouette

   Items[-1,-4]

   Click the block with the Kianzhi to collect the Scholar Character, then bring it to Kugutsu at [-1,-2] : she draws the Scholar Silhouette from it.

5. 5Get 3 Drops of Indelible Ink

   Items

   Drops of Indelible Ink fall from the monsters of the Kingdom of Paper, at 10% base rate.

   Start So Many Words, So Little Time and The Dragon Effect at the same time; they also require fighting the monsters in the area.

6. 6Lure the swane out of the Kingdom of Ink

   [-3,-1] · Theatrical Swane

   Show the ink drops to the Theatrical Swane to lure it, then lay them along the path to the exit of the Kingdom of Ink. At the end, talk to the swane to get the Swane Silhouette.

   • [20,-40] after leaving via Daoh and the sanctuary, at Airedala, click the cut bamboo at the bottom of the stairs: last drop

7. 7Convince the Thespian Bow Meowette

   Dialogue[23,-32] · Thespian Bow Meowette

   Enter the forbidden tavern, cross the first room and go left to the bow meow bar. The Thespian Bow Meowette is willing to perform in an ink theater, but the Kingdom of Ink scares her: bring her 10 Ink Snapper and explain where they come from to convince her.

   Access to the forbidden tavern requires having advanced Hand in Hand until you obtain a metal beer tankard.

8. 8Introduce the bow meowette to Kugutsu

   Dialogue[-1,-2] · Kugutsu

   The bow meowette follows you: lead her through the Kingdom of Ink to Kugutsu. She is the perfect model: Kugutsu creates the silhouette of the word “bow meow”.

9. 9Craft the moumouse trap

   Crafting

   Craft 1 Moumouse Trap with your Handyman profession at level 30 or higher, then close the interface. Recipe: 12 Iron, 5 Tin and 2 Awkwood Board.

   Cooperative crafting is not possible: you must craft the trap yourself.

10. 10Catch a moumouse

    [22,-27]

    Upstairs in the Fermenthé tavern, click the pot to set the trap. Wait 2 minutes, then click the pot again to get a Poisoned Moumouse. Bring it to Kugutsu at [-1,-2] : she paints the silhouette of the word “moumouse”.

11. 11Defeat the Chtiger Yokianzhi

    Combat[-2,2]

    In the Kingdom of Paper, click the block of paper bearing a paw print. A fight starts, solo with Kugutsu. After the victory, you get the Chtiger Silhouette.

12. 12Bring the silhouettes back to Pandawayang

    Items[19,-21] · Pandawayang

    Go back to Akwadala to give the five silhouettes to Pandawayang, who can start on his puppets. The quest ends. To see the play, then enter the boat at [19,-21] and talk to her.
