Quest Kingdom of Paper

So Many Words, So Little Time

Level 200 quest in the Kingdom of Paper, with Kigob at [0,0]: this paper goblin wants to compose poems and sends you to find eight sets of haiku. All the steps, the dialogue choices, the resources and the methods for each haiku.

What to prepare

A long quest with a lot of luck: several haiku drop randomly and as duplicates. They can be traded between players and are also found at the auction house. A level 200 Fisherman, Miner or Alchemist profession helps a lot, without being mandatory.

The 18 quest steps

  1. 1Buy the Okirhym beer

    Items · Keg O'Beer

First, buy 1 Okirhym for 2,000 kamas from Keg O'Beer. The beer is only sold to characters who have completed Thirst Talks.

No need to buy it with another character: you have to have completed Thirst Talks anyway to start the quest.

    • Kamas2,000 kamasto pay
    • Okirhym iconOkirhymreceived
  2. 2Access the Kingdoms of Ink and Paper

    Dialogue

If you have never been there, enter one of the two sanctuaries and talk to Daoh. For the first question, the nature of the fire burning within you, answer “The White Fire” (Ecaflip, Eniripsa, Iop, Cra, Feca, Sacrier, Eliotrope), “The Black Fire” (Sadida, Osamodas, Enutrof, Sram, Xelor, Pandawa, Rogue, Masqueraider, Foggernaut, Ouginak) or “The White Fire and the Black Fire” (Huppermage, Forgelance). For the second, about the creator of the Kingdom of Paper, answer “The Dragon of Pandala.”

    • Wukang sanctuary: enter the cavern and go to the right
    • Wukin sanctuary, accessible via the Highland Kwak

    Dialogue

    1. “Learn more about this place”
    2. “The Dragon of Pandala”

The Iroru Symbol gives you access to the kingdoms whenever you want: leave the sanctuary to arrive in a kingdom. To return to Pandala, talk to Daoh again in a sanctuary, then leave.

  3. 3Turn into a Leopardo

    Movement

Once in the Kingdom of Paper, use the Okirhym beer: it turns you into a Leopardo. Without this transformation, you can't start the quest.

  4. 4Talk to Kigob

    Dialogue[0,0] · Kigob

Turned into a Leopardo, talk to Kigob, who is contemplating the character drawn on the paper floor. This paper goblin is the embodiment of the word haiku: to compose his poems, he needs haiku, eight sets in all.

    Dialogue

    1. “Tell yourself that this quest may have you traveling between the Celestial Kingdoms and the island of Pandala, but take up the challenge”

The haiku can be collected in any order, but start the Wukin, Wukang and Pandala ones early: you have to wait 1 hour or 2 hours between attempts.

  5. 5Collect the 5 Ink Haiku

    Items

From Kingdom of Paper monsters, collect Blackened Words (4% base). Open each Blackened Words: it randomly gives one of the five Ink Haiku, Tale, Invisible, Shadow, Mystery and Illusion, sometimes as duplicates. Starting The Dragon Effect and Spectacular Ink at the same time, which also require fighting in the area, saves time.

Blackened Words don't drop in dungeons. Keep one unopened: it is used for a Samurai Haiku.

    Items

Folded Words don't drop in dungeons. Keep one unopened for a Samurai Haiku.

  7. 7Collect the 5 Dragon Haiku

    Items

In the Orukam's Memory dungeon, the Imafugo drops the Dragon Haiku: Passion (8% base) and the boss, King Imagami, the Dragon Haiku: Creation (12%). In the Imagiro's Memory dungeon, the Fugokam drops the Dragon Haiku: Resolution (8%) and Queen Amirukam the Dragon Haiku: Destruction (12%). Do Two Breaths, One Inhalation first, which also goes through these two dungeons.

The fifth, Dragon Haiku: Rebirth, is traded in the exit room: with the Imihasu (Orukam's Memory) for a Passion or a Creation, or with the Sulianam (Imagiro's Memory) for a Resolution or a Destruction. So you need to get one of the first four twice.

  8. 8Collect the 5 Two Kingdoms Haiku

    Items

You need Harvested Words. The recommended method: they drop at 100% from resource guardians in both kingdoms, which requires a level 200 Miner, Fisherman or Alchemist profession. Otherwise, trade with Daoh, at or at , Offerings to Celestial Spirits for two resources from the same kingdom monster, then click on an altar: “Make an offering to the harvest spirits”. A Harvest Spirit appears at one of three locations; when you talk to it, you have a low chance of getting Harvested Words, otherwise a harvestable resource.

    • Kingdom of Paper altar: the Harvest Spirit appears at , or
    • Kingdom of Ink altar: the Harvest Spirit appears at , or

    Dialogue

    1. “Make an offering to the harvest spirits”

Don't pick the wrong offering at the altar. You have to wait 1 hour before another offering in the same area, and this method slows you down for the Wukin and Wukang haiku. Keep one Harvested Words unopened for a Samurai Haiku.

When you talk to it, you have a 33% chance of getting Obscure Words; otherwise you are turned into a monster of the area. Each Obscure Words opened randomly gives one of the five Wukin Haiku: Sakura, Cold, Scarecrow, Black and Evening.

    Dialogue

    1. “Make an offering to the evanescent spirits”

1 hour wait between two offerings in the area. Keep one Obscure Words unopened for a Samurai Haiku.

When you talk to it, you have a 33% chance of getting Enlightened Words; otherwise you are turned into a monster of the area. Each Enlightened Words opened randomly gives one of the five Wukang Haiku: Morning, White, Sakura, Heat and Thunder.
