Strange Witnesses

What to prepare

No fights. Part of the quest is done after 20 hours in the game. To avoid it, bring three items to trade for a ham.

The 12 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Amayiro

   Dialogue[-32,-57] · Amayiro

   The quest starts at the militia, with Amayiro. He asks you to find the person who accused Kit of treason.

   

2. 2Question Miss Yelliott

   Dialogue[-36,-58] · Miss Yelliott

   At the Alakarte tavern, Miss Yelliott overheard the conversation of two shady characters. She did not warn the militia for fear of being accused herself, since the militiamen might defend their colleague.

3. 3Report the testimony to Amayiro

   Items[-32,-57] · Amayiro

   Show him Miss Yelliott's testimony. He now asks you to retrace Kit's path to find out who followed him.

   

4. 4Retrace Kit's path

   First talk to Nope at [-31,-52], who has nothing new to tell you. Then go to the map where Kit Dingaround was on guard, and talk to the locals, up to Robin Gaywould. He saw Kit talking about Brakmar and confidential documents with a stranger, whom he describes to you without being very sure.

5. 5Show the description to Ture Inge

   Items[-32,-57] · Ture Inge

   From the center of the militia, go up the stairs and enter the room on the right. To Ture Inge, Robin Gaywould's description doesn't hold up: he is hiding something, probably out of fear.

6. 6Pressure Robin Gaywould

   Dialogue[-28,-54] · Robin Gaywould

   Go back to see Robin Gaywould. He claims he is afraid of nothing, then thinks better of it without finishing his sentence: he fears his livestock will be targeted if he talks.

   3. “Threaten to confiscate his boars if he doesn't finish his sentence”

   You apparently don't need to offer him kamas: threatening him directly would be enough, though this remains to be confirmed.

   

7. 7Have the pen guarded

   For Robin Gaywould to talk, his pen must be guarded.

8. 8Make Robin Gaywould talk

   [-28,-54] · Robin Gaywould

   Reassured, Robin Gaywould tells his story: Kit only spoke to a cobbler vendor before going to the Alakarte tavern. But a gray, masked man reeking of pichon threatened him to send you down a false trail. The same man tried to hit on Clara Daule and got slapped.

9. 9Question Clara Daule

   Dialogue[-33,-54] · Clara Daule

   The man who approached her was a stinking Sram. He offered her to spend the night at a certain Ufot Eticili's place, for gambling and tofu fights.

   

10. 10Talk to Ufot Eticili's customers

    Dialogue[-34,-55]

    Enter Ufot Eticili's house and go down to the cellar. Talk to Guf Ruheu, who sends you to the Ecaflip who often talks to Srams. Jett Marte only talks to them to gamble, unlike Rei. Ares Truer, who does business with them, points you to Lie Heur. He knows a Sram who stinks like the sewers: Gnirreh.

    The customers only answer after 20 hours in the game (19 hours also worked). Otherwise, see the next step.

    

11. 11Get around the time restriction with the ham

    Outside the time window, talk to all the NPCs first, then gather a Golden Dragoturkey Milk, a Bag of Amaknian Spices (to be clicked in the house at [-5,25]) and a Tenderloin. Then follow these locations in order.

    • [-30,-52] give the three items to Ala Raine in exchange for an Ala Raine's Ham
    • [-31,-58] give the ham to Jett Marte
    • [-36,-60] talk to Ares Truer, in the room to the right of the throne room
    • [-34,-55] go back to see Lie Heur
