What to prepare

The Snowbound Village must be liberated to talk to its NPCs. Some only appear at certain times, and one step requires having completed the quest Hot P.A.N.T.S..

The 13 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Moutou Louse

   Dialogue[-80,-73] · Moutou Louse

   In the Snowbound Village, Moutou Louse says he was attacked by monsters from the petrified forest: he had to drop supply crates to escape.

   Throughout the quest, you talk to many NPCs in the Snowbound Village: it absolutely must be liberated.

   

2. 2Recover the crates

   Items[-74,-72]

   Meet at [-74,-72] to recover the crates. As you pick them up, you hear a strange lament.

3. 3Bring the crates back to Moutou Louse

   Items[-80,-73] · Moutou Louse

   Bring the crates back to Moutou Louse. In his view, the lament comes from the petrified forest being haunted: it's up to you to look for clues.

4. 4Look for clues with Adelaide

   Dialogue[-81,-69] · Adelaide

   Meet at [-81,-69] and talk to Adelaide: her grandfather is trapped in the ice, but he still talks to her.

   

5. 5See Moutou Louse again

   Dialogue[-80,-73] · Moutou Louse

   Go back to Moutou Louse to talk about the young girl and find a way to help her. He sends you to see Father Deepboar.

   

6. 6Talk to Father Deepboar

   Dialogue[-77,-73] · Father Deepboar

   Nobody believes Adelaide. Father Deepboar does point you toward the Snowbound Village inn, where someone will believe her.

   

7. 7Find Nicki Kerrs in the inn

   Movement[-78,-75] · Nicki Kerrs

   In the tavern at [-78,-75], first talk to Salah Connol, who doesn't believe Adelaide either, then go down to the cellar. Talk to Nicki Kerrs and ask her what she does with her nights.

   Nicki Kerrs is only in the cellar between 8:00 and 20:00.

   

8. 8Join Nicki Kerrs in the hypogeum

   Movement[-71,-83] · Nicki Kerrs

   Nicki Kerrs asks you to meet her in an annex room of the Obsidiantre hypogeum, at [-71,-83]. Next, you need to help the P.A.N.T.S. prophets so they give you a P.A.N.T.S. Potion.

   The meeting takes place between 20:00 and 8:00, and the potion requires having completed the quest Hot P.A.N.T.S..

9. 9Show the potion to Asselo

   Items[-76,-71] · Asselo

   Meet at [-76,-71] and show the P.A.N.T.S. Potion to Asselo. He sends you to fetch a Buttercup, to mix into the potion so it doesn't burn the lumberjacks as they thaw.

   

10. 10Collect a Buttercup

    Items[-76,-64]

    Collect the Buttercup at [-76,-64].

11. 11Give the flower to Asselo

    Go back to [-76,-71] and give the Buttercup to Asselo.

12. 12Free the lumberjacks trapped in the ice

    Free the four lumberjacks from their blocks of ice, in this order to limit back-and-forth trips.

    • [-72,-67] the second lumberjack

13. 13Go back to Adelaide

    Dialogue[-81,-69] · Adelaide

    Go back to Adelaide at [-81,-69] and give him the P.A.N.T.S. Potion, then talk to the Petrified Lumberjack to complete the quest.
