Fight eight Soul-Blazes in the Day Without End barracks zone to get 8 Soul-Blaze Ashes, at a 100% chance. Then double-click on Howard Nidian's Talisman in your quest inventory.
The talisman must be used in the Day Without End barracks zone.

6Lead the plants into battle

On the same map, talk to Zombignis to start the fight against the Charred Ones attackers. It is fought alone, alongside the plants: Necrose, Sunfloldier, Dandelieutenant and Strangloot.

The fights
Levels 200 to 212
In , alone with the plants as allies. The other monsters have the same spells as those in the zone. Necronyx strengthens a plant; cast on a Veriun Dead, it removes its damage reflection, and once dead, that Veriun Dead is re-summoned by its allies but just passes its turns. Strengthen the two Sunfloldiers first, who heal and grant shield points, then the two Necroses, who strike for 1,000 to 1,500 in an area.

Volcanic Conjuration
Strikes for 500 Fire damage in an area, at range, and pulls all characters toward itself.

Magmagic
Places a square glyph with sides of 3 range, centered on itself, which strikes when you step on it.

Necronyx (your spell)
Can be recast from the next turn on Sunfloldier, Dandelieutenant or Necrose, but only 2 turns later on a Veriun Dead or on Strangloot.

Your allies, the plants
Necrose mostly strikes in an area: it is the strongest. Sunfloldier heals its allies and gives them shield points. Dandelieutenant doesn't strike but slows monsters down in AP and MP: it mainly serves to draw their hits. Strangloot doesn't strike but pulls enemies into contact with it, to block them and take the hits in your place.

Tip: block Zombignis
Make sure Strangloot blocks Zombignis and the Reallinotseen in contact with it: they are the ones that will hurt you the most.
