The 9 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Canynan the Merian

   Dialogue[-26,-5] · Canynan the Merian

   Since the death of his shaman, his people have lost their magical protection against the curse of the boowolves. He sends you to help Sionverin.

   

2. 2Talk to Sionverin

   Dialogue[-27,-2] · Sionverin

   Ask Sionverin what he needs for his research: samples of the monsters of the Howling Heights.

   

3. 3Collect the infected slobbers and fangs

   Items

   Fight the monsters of the Howling Heights: 5 Infected Slobber from the Boopigs and Boowonoké, 5 Infected Fang from the Boogrannies and Boowolves. They drop with a base chance of 10%.

   These are quest resources: they can't be bought at the auction house.

4. 4Watch the first test

   [-27,-2] · Sionverin

   Bring the samples back to Sionverin: he starts his first test and transforms. Talk to him again, he reverses the transformation, then talk to him once more in his normal form: his potion against turning into a boowolf is not quite ready yet.

5. 5Calm Sionverin down

   Combat[-27,-2] · Sionverin

   On the second attempt, Sionverin transforms again. Talk to him in this form: this time, he attacks you. Survive the fight, then talk to him again once he is back to normal.

6. 6Watch the third test

   [-27,-2] · Sionverin

   Sionverin attempts a third trial, which seems conclusive: he doesn't transform.

7. 7Announce the news to Canynan

   Dialogue[-26,-5] · Canynan the Merian

   Canynan tests the find on himself and transforms. Sionverin, next to him, explains that the beast that was inside him has awakened: you need a soothing biscuit to calm him down.

   

8. 8Recover a Soothing Biscuit

   Items[-21,-8] · Brakmarian Smuggler

   The Brakmar smuggler sells you the soothing biscuit for 5,000 kamas or 2 Boopig Eye.

9. 9Pacify Canynan with the biscuit

   Dialogue[-26,-5] · Canynan the Merian

   Put the biscuit down in front of the transformed Canynan. Talk to him again once he has returned to his normal appearance: he doubts that Sionverin's solution is the right one. The quest ends.
