What to prepare

The ritual resource and the hunting tool depend on the prey that suits your Young Lionosa. The tool's resources are obtained from Osavora monsters: they are quest resources, but tradable.

The 13 quest steps

1. 1Talk to the Lionosa Priestess

   Dialogue[12,4] · Lionosa Priestess

   During the Hunt season, the Lionosa Priestess prepares a ritual in the Rhoarim village. She asks you to follow her to Gargandyas's eye to see for yourself.

2. 2Listen to the priestess on the beast's snout

   Dialogue · Lionosa Priestess

   On the beast's snout, talk to the priestess again. Gargandyas judges each Lionosa's destiny before her first hunt, but he was unable to gauge the Young Lionosa next to you. Offer your help: an exotic hunting technique might unlock her.

3. 3Talk to the Young Lionosa

   She is watching a herd of oddnivores she is not yet allowed to hunt. Offer to hunt them in her place so she can observe your techniques. The quest really starts and the Young Lionosa becomes your follower character.

4. 4Hunt the herd of oddnivores

   Combat[8,8]

   In the Osavane, talk to one of the oddnivores in the herd, for example the Gregarious Rabbilope, to start the fight. It can be done in a group.

5. 5Listen to what the Young Lionosa feels

   Dialogue[8,8] · Young Lionosa

   She is in ecstasy and wants to hunt like you. Since Gargandyas didn't judge her, offer to choose a prey for her based on what she feels. Remember the name of the prey she mentions: Rabbilope, Flashiraffe or Goatphibian.

   This dialogue varies from player to player. The prey's name narrows the search down to 3 oddnivores out of 9.

6. 6Find the right prey in the Bushy Reserve

   Movement

   Nine prey await in the Bushy Reserve, and only one is right for your Young Lionosa. Talk to the oddnivores of her species: if it's not the right one, try the next. In front of the right prey, introduce the Young Lionosa to it.

   Note your prey's position: you will have to come back to it, and it isn't the same for everyone.

7. 7Listen to the Lionosa Priestess

   Talk to the Young Lionosa again, who is itching to hunt her prey. The Lionosa Priestess then appears: a prey that accepts its huntress, she had never seen that. She tells you the ritual resource and the hunting tool to craft, depending on the chosen prey.

8. 8Gather the ritual resource

   Items

   The resource depends on the prey's species: 1 Touslecat Bandana for a Goatphibian, 1 Killtamer Bone Dagger for a Flashiraffe, 1 Voracle Divinatory Bone for a Rabbilope.

9. 9Craft the hunting tool

   Crafting[10,3]

   The tool depends on the prey's particularity. Gather the resources, then use the hunting tool workshop at [10,3]. Brutal: Rhoarim Net (10 Oddnivore Hair). Powerhouse: Rhoarim Boomerang (5 Oddnivore Hair and 3 Flexible Bony Forehead). Swift: Rhoarim Bolas (5 Oddnivore Hair and 3 Dense Bezoar).

   Oddnivore Hair drops at 12% from all oddnivores, Flexible Bony Forehead at 100% from Heapotamuses, Dense Bezoar at 100% from Brutapirs.

10. 10Present the items to the Lionosa Priestess

    Go back to your prey's position in the Bushy Reserve and talk to the Lionosa Priestess again with the tool and the resource.

11. 11Attend the ritual

    · Lionosa Priestess

    Talk to the priestess again: her incantations put the Young Lionosa into a trance. Then watch the Young Lionosa get ready to pounce on her prey.

12. 12Hunt the prey with the Young Lionosa

    Combat

    The fight is solo. You play the Young Lionosa in the form she chose, Killtamer, Touslecat or Voracle, against her prey. Its spells are those of the monsters in the dungeon The Venerable One's Thicket, with one particularity: brutal, 100% final damage; powerhouse, 80% resistances; swift, 3 MP.

    A spell tied to your tool helps you. Rhoarim Net: keep a brutal monster at a distance and tank it; the MP steal works at 100%. Rhoarim Boomerang: lowers a powerhouse monster's resistances, cast it first each turn. Rhoarim Bolas: places a glyph that deals extra damage if the monster ends its turn on it.

13. 13Find the Young Lionosa again

    · Young Lionosa

    After the fight, talk to the Young Lionosa again. Thanks to you, she has become a huntress and can join her sisters. The quest ends.
