The 4 quest steps

    Dialogue

  2. 2Find Boarus

    Movement

Boarus always appears in the Osavannah area, in Osavora, sometimes accompanied by Oddnivores. He is not always there: once defeated, he disappears for several hours before coming back.

If a group defeats him without anyone getting him as a follower character (quest not started or already completed), he reappears immediately in the area.

  3. 3Defeat Boarus

    Combat

Boarus does not have the Invulnerable state, but he goes through three seasons, with three spells each, and grows stronger every turn. At each HP threshold, he changes season and cannot be hit until the start of his next turn. If you started the quest, you get him as a follower character after the victory.

Boarus

Level 200

In the Osavannah, in Osavora: 25,000 HP, 12 AP and 6 MP. Resistances: 20% Neutral, 15% Earth, -5% Fire, 15% Water and 15% Air. No Invulnerable state. He starts in the state of the season currently active in the dimension, then changes season at 70% and 30% of his HP, in the cycle Birth, Hunt, Rest. In Birth, he hits at medium range, and hard only when he has low HP; in Hunt, very hard, but only in melee; in Rest, at a distance, with moderate damage.

  • Ad Hoc Allies

State shared by all wanted targets: 2,000 less Vitality and 50 less Power, with no duration limit, for each monster with him. Alone, he has no penalty.

  • Meganos

Passive cast at the very start of the fight. It manages the HP thresholds (70% and 30%) and the season changes. At the start of each turn, Boarus pushes the character or summon closest to him in a line back 20 cells.

  • Boarage

    Boarus starts in Boarage 1, which increases by 1 at the start of each turn up to Ultimate Boarage, after 10 turns. Bonus for 1 turn: 1, 5% final damage; 2, 10% and 1 MP; 3, 20%, 1 MP and 50 Lock; 4, 30%, 1 MP, 50 Lock and 50 Flight; 5, 40%, 2 MP, 100 Lock and 50 Flight; 6, 50%, 2 MP, 100 Lock and 100 Flight; 7, 70%, 2 MP, 150 Lock, 150 Flight and 10% Vitality; 8, 90%, 2 MP, 200 Lock, 200 Flight and 10% Vitality; 9, 120%, 3 MP, 300 Lock, 300 Flight and 20% Vitality; Ultimate, 150%, 4 MP, 500 Lock, 500 Flight and 20% Vitality. From turn 11, he no longer has any bonus, while remaining in Ultimate Boarage.

  • Matatattack

Birth. Deals 20% of Boarus's missing HP as Water damage (40% on a critical hit) and pulls 1 cell (2 on a critical hit). Up to 5 Range, modifiable, once per turn.

  • Hoofbeat

Birth. Deals 850 Earth damage and steals 1 MP with no duration limit. In a line up to 5 Range, once per turn.

  • When Boars Fly

Birth. Boarus gains 100 Power with no duration limit, and 10% of his maximum HP as a shield for 2 turns. On himself, once per turn.

  • Hogs of War

Hunt. Boarus gains 1 Range and 50 push damage, with no duration limit. On himself, once per turn.

  • Piggy Slide

Hunt. Deals 1,100 Air damage in a circle of size 3 around him and steals 400 Vitality (600 on a critical hit) for the rest of the fight. On himself, once per turn.

  • Taurture

Hunt. Deals 750 Earth damage, then 130 Earth damage each time the target is moved. Melee only, once per turn.

  • Snoutcision

Rest. Deals 850 Water damage in a cross of size 1 and steals 50 critical damage, with no duration limit. Up to 10 Range, modifiable, once per turn.

  • Taurpor

Rest. Deals 500 Air damage. Up to 10 Range, modifiable, once per turn.

  • Roaring Prey

Rest. Boarus heals 10% of his maximum HP and gains 10% critical, with no duration limit. On himself, once per turn.

  • Tip: eliminate him as fast as possible

The longer the fight lasts, the more dangerous Boarus becomes. With no invulnerable state, he can be hit without restraint.

  • Tip: don't stay in line

He pushes the closest character in a line back 20 cells, with heavy push damage. If an ally is in line, place a summon closer to Boarus, in the same line, so that it is targeted instead.

  • Tip: keep him at a distance

Most of his spells are cast at short and medium range: MP removal and positioning spells make him harmless.

  • Tip: adapt to the season

In Birth, keep an eye on Matatattack when he has low HP: if the dimension is in the Hunt season, Birth is his last season, below 10,000 HP. In Hunt, stay at a distance, he can never hit you. In Rest, remove his Range to stop him from attacking.
