The 4 quest steps
-
1Take the wanted notice
Dialogue
Dive into the pool at : you arrive on the first map of the Depths of Sufokia, where 3 signs show the wanted criminals of the area. Click on the sign at the very top, the one showing Medali.
Dialogue
- “Head out questing for Homer Medali”

2Reach the Submerged Relics
Movement
Homer Medali always appears in the Submerged Relics, one of the three deepest areas of the Depths of Sufokia. Two paths lead there, both requiring Exploration equipment. The shortest: at , use the door, which leads directly to the area. This requires 1 Hydraulic Wheel.
Homer Medali is not always there: once defeated, he disappears from the area for several hours. If a group defeats him without anyone obtaining him as a follower character (nobody started the quest, or everyone has already completed it), he immediately respawns.
-
3Defeat Homer Medali
Combat
Homer Medali is not invulnerable by default, but he becomes so if he hits you with Telepunch, from 2 to 5 range: hit him in melee to remove this invulnerability. He also gains Power for each character more than 3 range away from him at the start of his turn. Each monster accompanying him weakens him: the Ad Hoc Allies state removes 2,000 Vitality and 50 Power per monster present with him.

4Deliver Homer Medali to Walter Worde
Items · Walter Worde
After the victory, Homer Medali follows you as a follower character, provided you started the quest. Go back to the entrance of the Depths of Sufokia, before the pool, and go to the left to enter the prison. Talk to Walter Worde: Homer Medali leaves your group and the quest ends. He then appears under a glass bell jar, with the other wanted criminals you captured.

The fights
Level 200
In the Submerged Relics: 29,000 HP, 16 AP and 5 MP. Resistances: 15% Neutral, 20% Earth, -5% Fire, 10% Water and 30% Air. He hits hard in Air at medium range, in Earth in an area at medium range and hard in Water in melee. He can swap positions with one of your characters, push back and remove MP.
-
Ad Hoc Allies
State shared by all wanted targets: 2,000 less Vitality and 50 less Power, with no duration limit, for each monster with him. Alone, he has no penalty.
-
Sea'Swell Bath
Cast from the start of the fight, with no time limit: at the start of each of his turns, he gains 15 Power per character more than 3 range away from him, with no time limit and stackable. Example: after two turns with 6 characters far from him, he has gained 15 x 6 x 2 Power.
-
Telepunch
Swaps positions with the target, deals 650 Air damage as life steal and makes himself Invulnerable, with no time limit. A single melee hit removes the invulnerability. From 2 to 5 range, without line of sight, once per turn. He can target a summon as well as a character.
-
Drachetauck
Deals 650 Water damage, pushes back 3 cells and applies the Drenched state for 2 turns (blue icon with a hand above the character). On an already Drenched character, it adds a line of 20% of the target's HP in Water damage and removes the state. Melee only, twice per turn and once per target.
-
Hypercut
Deals 400 Earth damage in a 3×3 square, removes 2 dodgeable MP for 1 turn and pushes back 1 cell. From 4 to 5 range, without line of sight, once per turn.
-
Tip: play at range
Push him back, place him far from you or remove his MP: he must not be able to hit anyone on his turn. Without MP removal, stay more than 12 range away from him at the start of his turn (5 MP plus Hypercut up to 7 range). Beyond 10 range, he can no longer make himself invulnerable, but Hypercut can still hit you at 11 or 12 range, and hurts if the fight drags on.
-
Tip: play in melee
To brute-force it, go into melee and let him make himself invulnerable. Each turn, the first character to play hits him in melee with a low-AP spell, like Leek Pie, to remove the invulnerability. Kill him very quickly or stay within a radius of 3 range around him, to limit his Power gains and Drachetauck's damage on Drenched characters.
-
Tip: his allies first
Homer Medali is fairly easy to handle at range: kill the monsters accompanying him first, especially the Mantazes, which quickly deal a lot of damage at long range.
The rewards
