The Verdant Dofus

The game sums it up like this: to heal an immortal consumed by corruption, nothing beats the power of a goddess combined with the power of a Dofus, in the hands of an egg-collecting adventurer. The immortal is Silvosse, the Flovor Protector, under the influence of the horseman Corruption; the goddess is Eniripsa.

It is not a Dofus to keep: it is only equipped during Who Will Protect Us From the Protector?, from an advanced step, and you hand it over to Silvosse at the end. It is only used for the fight against Silvosse.

The effects and the passive

1 Range, for the duration of the quest.

Above all it gives you a spell, Verdant Dofus, for the fight against Silvosse; the game does not display its text. This spell heals 3% of max HP, on you as well as on Silvosse, even when Unhealable. On Silvosse, it can only be cast once per turn: 6,000 HP at first, 6,000 more for each Gnarl that has joined your side.

How to get the Verdant Dofus

No achievement gives the Verdant Dofus: it is obtained during Who Will Protect Us From the Protector?, the last quest of the Tree Hiding the Forest achievement, thanks to Flovoration, which starts in parallel. Before getting there, Who Will Protect Us From the Protector? has you gather the eleven Protector sigils, then reforge and bless the Menologium.

You need the Pine Done and the six primordial Dofus (Emerald, Crimson, Turquoise, Ochre, Ivory and Ebony), to be level 180 and to have completed Of Crops and Cruelty.

At the Eniripsa temple, Elya Wood tells you that Silvosse is linked to a pinecone-shaped Dofus, the Pine Done: it will serve as a receptacle for Eniripsa's healing power. If you own the Pine Done, you must progress through Flovoration, which starts with her.

Flovoration regenerates the Pine Done with Eniripsa, Sadida and the six primordial Dofus: it becomes a quest Sylvan Dofus, without a bonus. Dip it into the cauldron in front of the Eniripsa statue: you obtain the Verdant Dofus.

Then find Maimane in the clearing of the Dark Forest and face Silvosse, solo or with the companion Trank, with the Verdant Dofus and the Blessed Menologium equipped. The goal is not to defeat him but to heal him up to 200,000 HP: he starts the fight at 2,000.

After the fight, hold up the Verdant Dofus to help Silvosse; Simples's ghost then asks you to give it to him. Flovoration ends, then Who Will Protect Us From the Protector?. Silvosse then offers you to become the guardian of the real Sylvan Dofus, which rewards the Waiting for Spring achievement.

The two Verdant Dofus quests

1. 1Protect Us From the Protector

   Level 200 · Pol Dullbow, Low Crackler Mountain [-1,9]

   Pol Dullbow has you gather the eleven Protector sigils, then reforge and bless the Menologium. The Verdant Dofus is used for the final fight: with it, you heal Silvosse up to 200,000 HP.

   You need level 180 and to have completed Of Crops and Cruelty.

2. 2Flovoration

   Level 200 · Elya Wood, Eniripsa temple [7,1]

   At the Eniripsa temple, Elya Wood has you regenerate the Pine Done with Eniripsa, Sadida and the six primordial Dofus. It becomes a quest Sylvan Dofus: dip it into the cauldron in front of the Eniripsa statue to obtain the Verdant Dofus.

   The quest starts in the middle of Who Will Protect Us From the Protector?, once you have met Elya Wood.

What to prepare

For the Verdant Dofus itself, there is nothing to buy: above all you must own the Pine Done and the six primordial Dofus. The resources for the whole series are listed on the Sylvan Dofus page.

Fights

The fight against Silvosse is solo, with the companion Trank if you wish; taking him changes nothing about the fight. Flovoration adds a solo fight with a companion, a solo wave fight and Belladonna's dungeon.

Tips

Always keep 2 or 3 Gnarls on your side

A Corrupted Gnarl of Silvosse that you eliminate returns to your side, and each one adds 6,000 HP to the Verdant Dofus's heal. Never have none, and heal Silvosse every turn.

Sacrifice a Gnarl that is about to die

His Love of Nature spell heals Silvosse for 10,000 HP, but the Gnarl goes over to the opposing side. Better that than losing it for nothing.

Prepare for the 162,000 HP threshold

At 162,000 HP, Silvosse eliminates all the Gnarls on your side. Before you get there, chip away at the HP of one or two Gnarls on his side to take them over right away.

How do you get the Verdant Dofus?

During Who Will Protect Us From the Protector?: dip the Sylvan Dofus obtained in Flovoration into the cauldron in front of the Eniripsa statue.

Can you keep the Verdant Dofus?

No. It is only equipped during the quest, and Simples's ghost asks you to give it to Silvosse at the end.

What is the Verdant Dofus spell for?

To heal Silvosse up to 200,000 HP. It heals 3% of max HP, once per turn on Silvosse, and 6,000 more HP for each Gnarl on your side.

What is the difference with the Sylvan Dofus?

The Sylvan Dofus is the one you keep: Silvosse entrusts it to you at the end of the Waiting for Spring achievement, with 2 Range and the Country Ranger passive. The Verdant Dofus is only a step in the quest.

Can you get the Verdant Dofus without the Pine Done?

No method is known. With the Pine Done, you have to progress through Flovoration; without it, nobody has found how to continue the quest.
