Dungeon The Dragon Pig's Maze

Dragon Pig's Den

Level 100 dungeon in the heart of the Dragon Pig's Maze, at [5,32]: thirteen rooms, several of which you cross at a run, a Gorgoyle and a boss that punishes every AP spent, the Dragon Pig. Quests to start, map of each room, strategy, monsters, achievements and loot.

The 13 rooms of the Dragon Pig's Den

Thirteen maps, but only six fights: the other rooms are simply crossed. The first two punish stragglers, the eleventh holds the Gorgoyle, the last the Dragon Pig. For each room: the scenery, then the tactical view with the starting cells (blue: you, red: the monsters). Tap an image to enlarge it.

As soon as you enter, a countdown starts: cross the first two rooms quickly, or you inherit the Methane Gas curse.

Defeat the Dragon Pig

Lethal Blunder, from the first turn

On its first turn, it casts Lethal Blunder on all characters: a two-turn poison that hits for every AP you use. A single spell can cost a lot, even kill. Wait for the effect to end, or dispel it before playing.

The four-step strategy against the Dragon Pig

First turn: spend nothing. Lethal Blunder hits the whole team right away. Pass your turns or dispel yourselves with spells like Bamboo Milk or Fountain of Youth, before using any AP at all.

Out of its reach. All its hits are melee. Remove its MP, and you can finish the fight without ever being hit. Keep some space behind you: being pushed against an obstacle adds damage.

Anticipate Immobilisation. It removes MP from you at 6 range, often all of them. Do not count on fleeing next turn: end each turn far enough away that it cannot reach you, even if you can no longer move.

Hit with Air or Water. Its only two negative resistances. It does not have much HP: at range and out of reach, it falls quickly.

The monsters of the Dragon Pig's Den

Four monsters from the Porcos family, which arrive little by little as you go through the rooms, and the Gorgoyle as a mini-boss. Vary your elements: each one has its weaknesses. Resistances in red are their weaknesses.

In which order to kill the monsters

  1. Dorgan Ation — it summons Farle's Pigs and reduces all your characteristics on contact.
  2. Blodz Uker — it pulls you into contact, steals life and heals itself.
  3. Pignolia — it hits from very far away, removes MP and prevents you from using your weapon.
  4. Farle's Pig — only 1 MP: just stay out of its reach.

Preparing your run through the Dragon Pig's Den

A level 90 dungeon at 100, longer than it is difficult, with several empty rooms to cross. People come for the quests, including the Turquoise Dofus one, the Dragon Pig Snouts and the boss's soul, requested by the Ochre Dofus: bring a Soul Stone for Average Souls (captures up to level 100).

How to enter the Dragon Pig's Den

The path starts on Porcos Island, at : talk to Fwed to reach the tile room. Each tile leads to a room of the maze; the dungeon entrance is in the middle, at , and can only be reached from the side rooms. The nearest zaap is the one at the Alliance Temple . You need a Dragon Pig's Maze Key (consumed) or the keyring: no automatic group search.

Which team to bring against the Dragon Pig

MP removal. The Dragon Pig only hits on contact: without MP, it never touches you. MP removal also helps against the Blodz Uker, which pull you in.

Dispelling. Lethal Blunder blocks the whole team for two turns. A spell that dispels, like Bamboo Milk or Fountain of Youth, gives you control back right away.

Several elements. Air against the Farle's Pigs and Dorgan Ation, Earth or Fire against Blodz Uker, Fire or Water against the Pignolia, Air or Water against the Dragon Pig.

Classes that are comfortable here. Classes that remove MP and play at range are the most comfortable, especially with a dispel spell for Lethal Blunder.

The six achievements of the Dragon Pig's Den

Each achievement gives 3,937,000 XP and 2 Dragon Pig Snout, Duo doubles the XP; Sidekick gives 5,905,500 XP. Killing the Dragon Pig first makes the Special easier.

Special: Don't Push Your Lucky Pearls Before Swine

Allies must not suffer any pushback damage. The Dragon Pig is the only enemy that deals pushback damage: never be in contact with it and kill it first. Be careful with your own spells, which must not push an ally against an obstacle.

Impertinence

Each ally must end their turn next to an enemy. Stick to a harmless monster, never to the Dragon Pig if you cannot take Flunking. Plan every end of turn: its pushbacks and the Gorgoyle's undo your positioning.

Versatile

Never use the same action twice during a turn. A different spell for each action, movement and removal included. Count your actions before ending your turn, especially under Lethal Blunder, where every AP already counts.

Duo

Two characters maximum, fewer than 20 turns. Favor mobility, MP removal and Air or Water damage. Kill Dorgan Ation first to cut off its summons, then the Dragon Pig without losing turns.

Sidekick: Garbage Pail Sidekicks

At least four characters, including one allowed sidekick: Grute, Goboff, Rint or Piggy Paupe. The basic strategy applies. The sidekick must be part of the group that wins the fight.

Drops and loot of the Dragon Pig's Den

Base game rates, before Prospecting bonuses. The Dragon Pig Snout drops at 36% from the boss. The Turquoise Dofus, on the other hand, no longer drops: it is obtained through quests.

The Toothy Key

In the past, the Dragon Pig dropped the Turquoise Dofus. Today, you have to go through Doomin and Dragons: after the victory, pick up the Toothy Key to the left of the throne, before leaving the room.

The Dragon Pig's Den as a guild Expedition

The Den exists as a guild Expedition: no rooms, but a fight in two waves, the second arriving on turn 10 or when the last Gorgoyle dies:

  • wave 1: three Gorgoyles, the Muddy, the Lazy and the Glutton, each of which summons a Farle's Pig on contact at the end of its turn;
  • each Gorgoyle killed gives you 1 AP, 1 MP, 2 range and its own bonuses: resistances and a shield for the Muddy, pushback resistance and heals for the Lazy, enormous vitality and final damage for the Glutton;
  • the Glutton gives the best bonuses but has a lot of HP and 12 MP: block it, hit it with Earth or Neutral. The Muddy one, weak to Water and Fire and more fragile, is a good first target;
  • after three turns, a Farle's Pig can sacrifice itself on contact to erode you and hit you hard: keep away from any that have lived more than two turns;
  • wave 2: the Dragon Pig and monsters from the zone, invulnerable until the end of their first turn. With the Gorgoyles' bonuses, the rest goes smoothly.
