Dungeon Frigost Island
Snowfoux Den
Level 170 dungeon on Frigost Island, in the Snowfoux Caverns at [-76,-75]: four rooms, then Tengu Snowfoux, alone or with Foster Fuji Snowfoux, which has to be made vulnerable using two of its Snowfoux. Quests to start, strategy, monsters, achievements, and loot.

Quests linked to the Snowfoux Den
It's Cold But It Doesn't Matter is started at the entrance and completed on the Tengu; Foux Fighters and A Tengu Snowfoux Hack and Slash follow it on the next run. Accept them before entering: a fight won without the quest in progress does not count.
The dungeon's first quest. The king of the Snowfoux blocks the way: defeat Tengu Snowfoux in a single fight, then leave through a hole in the room and follow the cave to the petrified forest.
- Start
- Dave Growl, Snowfoux Caverns

- Tiwagrum Simulation
Tiwagrum can designate Tengu Snowfoux as the guardian to defeat. Amakna Village, .
Sick Seed asks for Evil Seeds, which also drop from the Den's monsters. Be careful, Wanted: Fuji Snowfoux is not completed here: the one wanted is the Caverns' Fuji Snowfoux, not Foster Fuji Snowfoux.
The 11 rooms of the Snowfoux Den
The game lists eleven maps, but one run has five fights. After the fourth room, a transition room has you choose your finale: Tengu Snowfoux alone, or the Tengu with Foster Fuji Snowfoux, and the choice is final. For each room: the scenery, then the tactical view with the starting cells (blue: you, red: the monsters). Tap an image to enlarge it.

Defeat Tengu Snowfoux and Fuji Snowfoux
Both states, the same turn
Fulguration alone unlocks Mournful Sniff, which kills on contact; Flux alone unlocks Frozen Wallop, 30% erosion on all your characters. Apply both states to the Tengu in the same turn: only this stacking makes it cast Frozen Fleece.

Never invulnerable, but Progeny kills its target on contact and replaces it with a Snowfoux. She only hits diagonally and heals her allies in an area every 3 turns. Each monster eliminated triggers her Maternal Instinct. Weak point: Air.
ProgenyKills its target on contact and replaces it with a random Snowfoux. No summon should stay near her.
Mother's MilkHeals Fuji and her allies in a large circle and gives them 200 damage for 2 turns. Cooldown 3 turns.
FurzyOnly diagonally, from 3 to 4 range: erosion and life steal. In line with her, you risk nothing.

Invulnerable at the start of the fight and Heavy, so it cannot be carried. It only hits on contact, but pulls 3 cells in a line up to 8 range and summons a Yomi or a Yokai on turn 2, then every 3 turns. It is only vulnerable for 4 turns, once both states are combined.
Frozen Wallop30% erosion on all your characters and summons for one turn, dispellable. Only cast with Flux and no Fulguration.
Mournful SniffKills its target on contact. Only cast if the Tengu has Fulguration without Flux: far from it, the risk is acceptable.
Refrigerated HugPulls 3 cells, in a line from 2 to 8 range, without line of sight. An obstacle or a static summon in front of you stops it.
Foxy LadyIts hit on contact when it is vulnerable.
Crazy in LoveSummons a Yomi or a Yokai from turn 2, then every 3 turns; if it has already summoned one, it summons the other.
Frozen FleeceWith both states at the start of its turn, it loses its invulnerability for 4 turns.
Frozen MalevolenceIts hit on contact while it is invulnerable: life steal and 10% erosion.
The five-step strategy
Choose your finale. In the transition room, the choice is final. The Tengu alone is played on a gigantic map, much simpler. With Fuji, the map is much smaller, she replaces the Kami Snowfoux, and every monster death counts.
The Snowfoux, except Yomi and Yokai. Kill the monsters that accompany the Tengu while staying at a distance: most hit on contact or at short range. Keep one Yomi and one Yokai alive. If they die, the Tengu summons more; if it summons duplicates, kill the surplus.
Make the Tengu vulnerable. In the same turn, place the Yomi in line with the Tengu and hit it with a weapon, then push or pull the Yokai onto its diagonal, at any distance. The character who hits the Yomi must not be Weakened by the Yokai: that state forbids weapons.
Four turns to kill it. At the start of its turn, it casts Frozen Fleece and loses its invulnerability for 4 turns: everything on it. If it survives, you have to start over, hence the value of keeping Yomi and Yokai alive until victory is assured.
With Fuji. Focus Fuji first, since she is never invulnerable, unless you make the Tengu vulnerable from turn 2. Stay in line with her, hide behind obstacles from the Tengu's pull, and only kill a monster if neither Fuji nor the Tengu can hit you afterward.
Fulguration and Flux
When hit by a weapon, the Yomi changes appearance, gains 6 range and 50 heals for one turn, and erodes your characters lined up with it by 20%; it and its allies in line receive Fulguration for 2 turns. A ranged weapon lets you hit it without suffering its 10 MP removal.
When pushed or pulled, the Yokai gains 1 MP and damage; it and its allies on diagonals receive Flux for 2 turns, and your characters on its diagonals become Weakened for one turn. Yomi and Yokai are Heavy: a Pandawa cannot carry them, you have to push or pull.
Fuji's Maternal Instinct
Each time a monster is eliminated, all monsters gain 1 MP for one turn, and Fuji and the Tengu gain 1,000 damage for one turn, all stackable and impossible to dispel. Before each kill, check that neither boss can reach you. The Tengu's summons don't trigger this bonus when they die, but benefit from it.
The monsters of the Snowfoux Den
Five level 162 Snowfoux with 3,900 HP, each with a huge resistance and a clear weakness. The Yomi and the Yokai are used for the Tengu's mechanic: only kill them after its vulnerability. The resistances in red are their weaknesses.
In which order to kill the monsters
- Maho Snowfoux — it pulls 3 cells and hits very hard on contact.
- Soryo Snowfoux, then Kami Snowfoux — AP removal for the first, random boosts for the second, both very weak to Earth.
- Yomi Snowfoux, then Yokai Snowfoux — to keep for the Tengu's mechanic, then to finish off in one go.

Preparing your run through the Snowfoux Den
A dungeon for level 160 to 170 teams that play at range and take care with their positioning. People come for the Caverns quests, two achievement series, and the Asparah Gorge Secret Key; both bosses can be captured with a Soul Stone for Huge Souls (captures up to level 200).
How to enter the Snowfoux Den
The entrance is in the Snowfoux Caverns, at , where Dave Growl checks your key; you reach it by crossing the caverns from the Asparah Gorge . The nearest zaap is the Snowbound Village's , on the dungeon's exit path. You need a Snowfoux Den Key (consumed) or the key ring: no automatic group search.
Crafting the Snowfoux Den Key
It is crafted at a handyman. Five ingredients drop from the dungeon's Snowfoux, at 19%: Maho Snowfoux Wool, Soryo Snowfoux Ear, Yokai Snowfoux Wool, Yomi Snowfoux Malleolus, and Lean Meat. Cod (fishing), Belladonna, and Corn (harvesting) complete the recipe.

The right team for the Snowfoux Den
A ranged weapon. Equip at least one character with a bow or a wand: they hit the Yomi with the weapon without exposing themselves to its 10 MP removal or to contact with the Tengu.
Pushback and MP removal. The mechanic requires pushing or pulling the Yokai. Against Fuji, on the small map, a class that pushes back or removes MP also helps keep both bosses at a distance.
The classes that are comfortable here. Any class that pushes, pulls, or removes MP finds its place. The Pandawa cannot carry the Tengu, the Yomi, or the Yokai, all three Heavy: its pushes remain useful, but not its carrying.
The eleven achievements of the Snowfoux Den
Two series. The Tengu's give 28,081,000 XP and 2 Tengu Snowfoux Wool, and Duo doubles the XP. Fuji's give 137,711,000 XP, 2 Fuji Snowfoux Leather and 2 Snowfoux Tear, and Duo doubles the XP; Sidekick gives 206,566,500 XP. Frozen Autonomy can be validated in the fight against Fuji, along with its achievements.

Tengu, Special: Frozen Autonomy
Allies, except static summons, must end their turn more than 4 cells away from all other allies. No particular difficulty, just a spacing constraint, easy on the Tengu-alone big map. With Fuji, the small map makes positioning clearly harder. Beware of the Tengu's and the Maho's pulls, which bring your characters closer together.
Tengu, First
Tengu Snowfoux must be finished off first. Make it vulnerable early, with the Yomi and the Yokai still alive, while keeping the other Snowfoux at a distance. All your damage goes on it during its 4 turns, without finishing off any other monster before it, summons included.
Tengu, Statue
Every ally must end their turn on the cell where they started it, throughout the whole fight. A ranged weapon hits the Yomi without moving, and your pushes or pulls bring the Yokai and the Yomi to the right place for you. Play spells cast from your own cell; the big map leaves some margin.
Tengu, Duo
Two characters maximum, fewer than 15 turns. The same plan, with two and fast: one character hits the Yomi with the weapon, the other pushes the Yokai diagonally, in the same turn, then everything on the Tengu during its 4 vulnerability turns.
Fuji, Special: Maternal Emancipation
No ally may end their turn in line with an enemy. The usual positioning against Fuji, in line with her, is precisely forbidden. End behind the obstacles, out of her diagonals from 3 to 4 range, and check every line before passing your turn.
Fuji, Last
Foster Fuji Snowfoux must be finished off last. Contrary to the basic strategy, Fuji is kept for the end: Tengu made vulnerable, then the Snowfoux. Each death gives her 1 MP and 1,000 damage: keep out of her reach before every kill.
Fuji, Statue
Every ally must end their turn on the cell where they started it, throughout the whole fight. Tighter than on the Tengu alone. Before the fight, choose cells in line with Fuji and away from contact, hit from a distance, and let your pushes and pulls move the monsters.
Fuji, Duo
Two characters maximum, fewer than 20 turns. One of the two must push back or remove MP to keep Fuji and the Tengu far away on the small map. Focus Fuji, watching for every MP and damage bonus after a kill.
Fuji, Sidekick: Rats… literally or figuratively
Four characters minimum, including an eligible companion: Rapiat, Plunder, Ougicle, or Hulkrap. Basic strategy. Never leave the companion in contact with Fuji: Progeny kills its target and replaces it with a Snowfoux.

Exiting through the holes
After the victory, drop into one of the room's holes, then follow the path: it leads to the petrified forest and the Snowbound Village, whose zaap you can memorize.
The Asparah Gorge Secret Key
Tengu Snowfoux drops it at 6%. It opens the secret map of All for One, an eight-character fight against the Demonic Ondine that rewards the Styx Signal Carrier.
Where is the Snowfoux Den?
In the Snowfoux Caverns, at , on Frigost Island. You get there by crossing the caverns from the Asparah Gorge .
What level should I be for the Snowfoux Den?
From level 160, comfortably at 170. The Tengu is level 170, Foster Fuji Snowfoux is level 190.
Should I fight the Tengu alone or with Fuji?
The Tengu alone to learn: the fight takes place on an immense map. With Fuji, the map is much smaller and every death strengthens the bosses. The choice, made after the fourth room, is final.
How do I make Tengu Snowfoux vulnerable?
The same turn: the Yomi hit with a weapon in a line, the Yokai pushed diagonally. At the start of its turn, the Tengu then casts Frozen Fleece and stays vulnerable for 4 turns.
Should I kill the Yomi and the Yokai quickly?
No, keep them until the Tengu is vulnerable. Without them, there is no mechanic. Keep them even afterward if you're not sure you'll finish the Tengu in 4 turns.
How do I avoid Foster Fuji Snowfoux's hits?
Stay in line with her: she only hits diagonally. And don't leave anyone in contact with her, summons included, because Progeny kills its target.
Which quest should I do in the Snowfoux Den?
It's Cold But It Doesn't Matter, from Dave Growl at the entrance : it is completed on the Tengu. It then unlocks Foux Fighters and A Tengu Snowfoux Hack and Slash.
Which stone should I use to capture the bosses?
One Soul Stone for Huge Souls (captures up to level 200), for the Tengu as well as for Fuji.
Can you enter through the group search?
No, the Den has no automatic group search. You need a Snowfoux Den Key or the key ring.
