What to prepare

Prepare the Kabaal Ritual dungeon, 1 Big Cannonball and 20 kamas for the beer (or 1 Pandamonium Beer). Two fights are solo.

The 15 quest steps

1. 1Meet Getteppo

   Dialogue[43,-57] · Getteppo

   The quest starts in the last room of the Kabaal Ritual dungeon (room 5), with Getteppo, a puppet maker from Amakna. He is looking for his son Nicchopio, a puppet brought to life by the Méryde of the Bubba family, but Kabaal blocks his way: a diversion is needed.

2. 2Defeat Kabaal

   Combat[43,-57]

   Defeat Kabaal, the dungeon boss, in a single fight, then leave the dungeon.

   First advance the quest Pandamonium Sings, which also requires this dungeon, so you don't have to do it twice. If you do both, talk to Kabaal before leaving.

3. 3Talk to Getteppo again in front of the dungeon

   In front of the dungeon, ask Getteppo whether he knows more: according to witnesses, his son left with two people, including a certain Honest Nojj.

4. 4Face Honest Nojj

   Combat[3,5] · Honest Nojj

   In Amakna, Honest Nojj offers to take you to where your wildest dreams will come true: that is how he lured Nicchopio. He denies it, then gives himself away by talking about a puppet when you hadn't mentioned one, and threatens you with his sidekick Noedig. The fight is done solo.

5. 5Question Honest Nojj

   Talk to Honest Nojj again: he delivered Nicchopio to a certain Kho Tchmann, at the port of the Atoll of the Possessed, so that he would become the host of a destroyer.

6. 6Introduce yourself to Kho Tchmann

   Movement[40,-56] · Kho Tchmann

   Kho Tchmann promises those who let themselves be possessed by a wrecker that they will become the equal of a god. Pass yourself off as a candidate: to check that you share their ideas, he gives you three tasks deemed harmful, in whatever order you like.

   

7. 7Steal a purse of kamas

   In the Pandamonium tavern, reached by the stairs at [42,-57], talk to Clouded Bellilith, completely drunk.

8. 8Buy a Pandamonium Beer

   Still in the Pandamonium Inn, buy 1 Pandamonium Beer from Bott'Omsup the Thirsty for 20 kamas.

9. 9Vandalise Har'Fang

   [43,-54] · Har'Fang

   Talk to Har'Fang to throw the Big Cannonball onto his bridge: the Proof of Vandalism arrives in your quest inventory. A fight starts; it can be done in a group.

   The quest is already up to date when the fight starts: no need to win it.

10. 10Bring the proof back to Kho Tchmann

    Items[40,-56] · Kho Tchmann

    Prove to Kho Tchmann that you did everything. He adds an ingredient to your beer and asks you to drink it.

11. 11Drink the spiked beer

    [40,-56] · Kho Tchmann

    Use the Spiked Pandamonium Beer from your quest inventory, then talk to Kho Tchmann again: the beer burned your throat, but you passed the test. When he asks which demon you want to fuse with, claim you want to question a friend who went before you: he tells you where to find Nicchopio.

12. 12Find Nicchopio

    [41,-59] · Possessed Nicchopio

    Where demons and their hosts finalize their fusion, talk to Possessed Nicchopio. He wants to become a real boy to make his father happy, but the symbiosis has turned him into a monster. He refuses to listen to you and wants to complete the ritual.

    

13. 13Escort Getteppo to his son

    Dialogue[43,-57] [41,-59] · Getteppo

    Go back to [43,-57] ask Getteppo to follow you, so that he can convince his son that he loves him as he is. Come back at [41,-59] and talk to Possessed Nicchopio. The demon speaks through the puppet, then attacks Getteppo, whom he holds responsible for Nicchopio's doubts.

14. 14Defend Getteppo

    Combat[41,-59]

    You fight alone, with Getteppo at your side. Nicchopio has far more HP than his father and heals almost 100% of each of your hits: the goal is to let Getteppo die, and so lose the fight.

15. 15Witness Bubba's miracle

    [41,-59] · Bubba

    Talk to Getteppo again, devastated: his son is dead. Moved by his sadness, the meryde Bubba appears: talk to him. Touched by the father's love and the son's sacrifice, he brings Nicchopio back to life in the form of a real little boy. Finally, talk to Nicchopio to explain what happened: the quest ends.

With Getteppo, in the last room of the Kabaal Ritual dungeon, at [43,-57]. You must be at least level 180; level 200 is recommended.

Do you have to do the Kabaal Ritual dungeon?

Yes, to defeat Kabaal. First advance Pandamonium Sings, which requires the same dungeon, so you only do it once.

Do you have to win the fight that starts at Har'Fang's?

No. The Proof of Vandalism is already in your inventory and the quest is up to date when the fight starts.

How do you win the fight against Possessed Nicchopio?

You must let Getteppo die. Nicchopio heals for almost 100% of your hits: there is no point trying to defeat him.
