The 13 quest steps

  1. 1Listen to Gizmond Quelyn's Krosmoglob

    Dialogue · Gizmond Quelyn's Krosmoglob

At the outpost, Corporal Gobastol is discussing an experiment with Gizmond Quelyn's Krosmoglob. Listen to the Krosmoglob, which suggests ideas to the Goblins before noticing that you are listening.

  2. 2Get a dimensional reducer

    Items · Corporal Gobastol

Ask Corporal Gobastol about his miniature size: he owes it to Gizmond Quelyn's pocket dimensional reducer. Ask him for one for the mission given by Osamodas: he gives you one of his last ones.

    • Dimensional Reducer iconDimensional Reducerreceived
  3. 3Test the reducer

Double-click the Dimensional Reducer in front of Gobastol. Instead of shrinking, you turn into a Crooket. Report the problem to Corporal Gobastol: he examines the device and asks you to return to your normal appearance.

  4. 4Lose the Crooket appearance

Do any fight, in the dimension or elsewhere, for example against Piwis. A consumable that transforms you also removes the Crooket appearance.

  5. 5Go back to Gobastol

    Dialogue · Corporal Gobastol

A Vilinsekt antenna stuck in the filter caused the transformation. Gobastol has figured out how to make the reducer automatic: he needs to analyze the size of the Kabombz and the topography of their nests, which can be spotted by their thermoprobes. He entrusts you with the Field Telekameter and promises the first prototype.

    • Field Telekameter iconField Telekameterreceived
  6. 6Survey the three nests

Visit the nests in this exact order: the survey is automatic, you just need to enter the map. This objective and the next one can be done in whichever order you like.

    • survey of the first nest
    • survey of the second nest
    • survey of the third nest
  7. 7Capture one Kabombz of each type

    Capture

Fight a Bzzulky, a Bzzoctor, a Kamikabz and a Quadrabz in the Osavane. No soul stone needed: the alteration that counts as a capture falls off automatically. Take them from the Osavane groups, or from the lone monsters that start a fight, which can be done as a group.

    • Lone Bzzulky
    • Lone Bzzoctor
    • Lone Kamikabz
    • Lone Quadrabz

The alterations can only be obtained in the Osavane: entering the Bzzkkbz Zowzrbz zone with an alteration makes you lose it. You have 1 hour to bring them back to the corporal, in one or several trips.

  8. 8Bring back the captures

    Items · Corporal Gobastol

Give Corporal Gobastol the captures, which he transfers into a shiny box, then the measuring device. During his experiments, his microwave compiler overheats: his size is halved again.

    • Field Telekameter icon1 × Field Telekameterto hand over
  9. 9Examine the compiler

Talk to Corporal Gobastol again, then examine the microwave compiler, to the left of the goblin: a part of the device is cracked.

  10. 10Get the insulation panel

    Items · Gizmond Quelyn's Krosmoglob

Ask Gizmond Quelyn's Krosmoglob for help repairing the compiler: the insulation panel needs replacing. Without the Handyman profession around level 20, choose “Provide three blocks of orichor”: you lose 3 Orichor and receive the panel. With that profession, it does not offer Orichor: choose “Say you would rather go yourself”.

  11. 11Craft the panel (Handyman)

    Crafting

Only if you are a Handyman: pick up the resources from 4 crates of metal trinkets at the outpost, then use the anvil in the center of Gobastol's map, at , to craft the insulation panel.

    • 1 crate: 1 Galvanising Salt
    • 2 crates: 1 Insulating Ore and 1 Untreated Metal
    • 1 crate: 1 Hydrogoblic Acid
    • Galvanising Salt icon1 × Galvanising Saltto hand over

    • Hydrogoblic Acid icon1 × Hydrogoblic Acidto hand over
    • Insulating Ore icon1 × Insulating Oreto hand over
    • Insulation Panel iconInsulation Panelreceived
  12. 12Repair the compiler

With the insulation panel, use the microwave compiler to repair it.

Make sure to choose “use”: if only “examine” appears, leave the map and come back.

  13. 13Receive the automatic reducer

    Dialogue · Corporal Gobastol

Talk to Corporal Gobastol again, convinced that you were the one who had grown. After a few checks, he presents you with the first automatic dimensional reducer. The quest ends.
