The 11 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Ladda Jakobs

   Dialogue[4,-6] · Ladda Jakobs

   Ask the Seneschal why she looks worried. The cook Gusta Lavista is demanding very rare ingredients from her for King Allister's banquet with the Kanig ambassador, Markofiel. Short on time, she hands you the list.

   

2. 2Collect the Rokokonuts

   Combat

   Rokokonuts drop from three NPC monsters on Moon Beach. Talk to each one to fight it. Prefer Fire characters: it is their weakness. Each one hits in Neutral, for around 100, and can summon a Tigrokoko that removes AP and hits weakly in Neutral.

3. 3Hand over the ingredients to Gusta Lavista

   Items[4,-6] · Gusta Lavista

   With all the resources gathered, go to the cook in Amakna Castle and hand the ingredients over to her.

   Agreeing to taste her Madrestam oyster with hot chocolate and tripe jam gives you -800 Initiative for 1 fight. You can come back to see her whenever you want for this malus, handy for adjusting your team's initiative.

4. 4Go back to see the Seneschal

   Go back to the previous room and tell the Seneschal that the job is done: she invites you to the reception.

5. 5Talk to King Allister

   Dialogue[4,-6] · King Allister

   Take the door on the right to reach King Allister. He has heard good things about you and introduces you to Ambassador Markofiel.

6. 6Talk to Ambassador Markofiel

   The conversation goes well, until the ambassador eats a Frighog ear and falls ill. The Seneschal concludes it is poisoning: since you supplied the ingredients, off to prison you go.

7. 7Refuse Locusta's water

   Combat[6,-5] · Locusta

   In prison, a Sram named Locusta kindly offers you some water. Be wary and refuse: she attacks you to kill you. Once the fight is won, you automatically get an Engraved Tablet.

   If you drink her water, you die and end up in the graveyard. You can resurrect, come back and continue the quest.

8. 8Show the tablet to the Seneschal

   On seeing you, the Seneschal wants to call the guard: tell her that Locusta tried to kill you. Locusta is Gusta's assistant cook. Show her the engraved message: the Seneschal will clear your name if you find its author.

9. 9Unmask Tiberia

   Combat[8,-2] · Tiberia

   At Madrestam Harbour, Tiberia claims to be waiting for someone. Tell him you come on behalf of Locusta: he sniffs you, guesses the lie and attacks you.

   The fight can be done in a group, but the quest only updates for the character who started the fight.

10. 10Question Tiberia

    Dialogue[8,-2] · Tiberia

    Defeated, Tiberia confesses: he wanted to foil Kanigrula's plans, whom he considers dangerous. Let him go or take him to the castle: either way, he escapes.

11. 11Report to the Seneschal

    [4,-6] · Ladda Jakobs

    Go back to Amakna Castle and tell Ladda Jakobs what you found. The quest ends; keep the conversation going to get the next one.
