Gather the Enchanted Amber resources before going back to see the Ancestral Treechnid, to avoid a detour. Also plan for two solo fights, the Lair of the Rac Queen dungeon, and the Ochre Ring entrusted by Otomai.

The 11 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Hel Munster

   Dialogue[-5,-13] · Hel Munster

   The quest starts right after the previous one. Hel Munster has no time to help you craft enchanted amber: he sends you to the Ancestral Treechnid, the oldest magician in the forest, who sometimes loses his mind a little.

   

2. 2Join the Ancestral Treechnid

   Movement[-9,-14] · Kikat Trunky

   At the Ancestral Domain, talk to Kikat Trunky. No need to do the dungeon: the Trunknid takes you to his master without asking questions.

3. 3Defeat the Ancestral Treechnid's servants

   Combat[-9,-14] · Ancestral Treechnid

   The Ancestral Treechnid, absorbed in his ritual, ignores you. Try to rough him up a little: bad idea, a group of his servants attacks you. The fight is solo.

   Spells encountered in this fight: Treechnishield (270 shield points, 15% heals and 20% of max HP for 2 turns, to himself and his allies), Treebranch (100 Water, from 2 to 8 range), Treechnidian Crush (130 Earth and -1 dodgeable AP, in melee), Zealous Motivation (+50% Critical for 2 turns in a circle of radius 4), Weakening Leap (teleportation, -25% resistance and -2 range for 2 turns for characters next to his landing spot, up to 4 range) and Brush-Up (250 Earth, reduces the duration of effects by 1, in a line up to 2 range).

4. 4Bargain with the Ancestral Treechnid

   Talk to him again to ask for a piece of enchanted amber. He doesn't work for free and smells a trick: in exchange for his help, he wants an item that Nyée stole from him.

   The other choices lead nowhere, and one of them costs you 1,000 kamas.

5. 5Collect the Black Egg

   Combat[-6,-15]

   Enter the Lair of the Rac Queen dungeon and defeat the Rac Queen: the Black Egg drops automatically. Before leaving, gather the Enchanted Amber resources.

6. 6Give the egg to the Ancestral Treechnid

   Items[-9,-14] · Ancestral Treechnid

   At the Ancestral Domain, Kikat Trunky takes you straight to his master. Give the Black Egg to the Ancestral Treechnid: he leads you to a workshop able to craft enchanted amber. There, talk to him again: he plucks a feather from a crobak, places it in a stump and feeds the fire of the sylvan athanor.

7. 7Craft the Enchanted Amber

   Crafting[-9,-14]

   Use the Sylvan Athanor workshop to craft the Enchanted Amber. Recipe: 30 Amber, 6 Treechnid Amber, 6 Dark Treechnid Amber, 6 Yellow Metaria and 1 Timber Substrate.

8. 8Defeat the Ancestral Crobaks

   Combat[-9,-14] · Ancestral Treechnid

   Show the amber to the Ancestral Treechnid, as he asked so that his magic does not fade. He asks you to hand it over so he can examine it, seizes it and orders his crobaks to attack you. The fight is solo.

9. 9Demand the amber

   [-9,-14] · Ancestral Treechnid

   Talk to the Ancestral Treechnid again, frightened to see you on your feet: he betrays as soon as he can gain a little power, it is his nature. Even after accepting his plea, he invites you to leave without the amber: raise your voice and he ends up giving it back to you.

10. 10Purify the amber

    Equip the Ochre Ring entrusted by Otomai in place of one of your rings, then double-click the Enchanted Amber in your quest inventory. You get 1 Purified Brown Amber, which will be used to regenerate Terrakourial's seal.

11. 11Follow the voice to Silvosse

    Movement[-11,-13] · Silvosse

    A voice carried by the wind calls to you: follow it to Silvosse, the protector of Flovor. He warns you about the evil that has awakened in the malevolent forest, which Terrakourial told him about in his sleep. The quest ends; continue the conversation to get the next one.
