Nothing to gather: you only need to win three combats, solo or in a group.

The 7 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Professor Groschinder

   Dialogue[-1,-6] · Professor Groschinder

   The quest follows directly after Animated Acid: continue the conversation. The professor asks you to test his combat robot prototypes against Boulder Biters.

2. 2Test the FMRL prototype

   Combat[0,-3]

   Fight a Boulder Biter, allied with the FMRL Prototype: it pushes back 4 cells while dealing weak Neutral damage. It can die during the combat, with no effect on the quest.

3. 3Report back to the professor

   [-1,-6] · Professor Groschinder

   The prototype didn't hold up. The professor entrusts you with a new prototype: the ICKC.

4. 4Test the ICKC prototype

   Combat[-2,-5]

   A new combat against a Boulder Biter, with a slightly sturdier ally. Its survival program is so advanced that the robot runs away…

5. 5Tell the professor what happened

   Dialogue[-1,-6] · Professor Groschinder

   Groschinder doesn't back down and entrusts you with a new machine: the Obaydinuf robot.

6. 6Test the Obaydinuf prototype

   Combat[-6,-9]

   This time, the prototype rebels and fights you: it deals Neutral damage and pushes 4 cells, in a line or diagonally.

7. 7Complain to Professor Groschinder

   Surprised, the professor tells you he has decided to synthesize etork, and seems to have a new mission for you. The quest ends.

Where do I fight the Boulder Biters?

In [0,-3] for the first test, at [-2,-5] for the second, then at [-6,-9] for the third, where the Obaydinuf Prototype turns against you.

The FMRL prototype died, do I have to start over?

No. Its death during the combat has no influence on the rest of the quest.

Are the fights solo?

No, all three combats can be done in a group.
