What to prepare

Plan for fights against the Tanukis for two resources at 6%, two solo fights, and 750 free pods for the 5 Flat Stone.

The 13 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Wotta

   Dialogue[22,-25] · Wotta

   The quest starts with Wotta, who is in a bad mood: the two Pandawas with him keep arguing about the equality of males and females. He wants to show them that in combat, male and female Tanukis are equally strong.

   

2. 2Collect one Defeat of each gender

   Items

   You need 1 Female Tanuki Defeat, with a base rate of 6% on the female Tanukis (Tatatojiki, Shinobuubusu and Titinuki), and 1 Male Tanuki Defeat, with a base rate of 6% on the male Tanukis (Ishibig Pak, Parashutackle and Tanukouï San).

3. 3Show the Defeats to the two Pandawas

   Items[22,-25] · Chiwhan

   Show Chiwhan the hairs pulled from the male Tanukis: she thinks the females pretend to stoop to the males' level so as not to ruffle them. Show Jiugwi those from the female Tanukis: he thinks the males lost because they were protecting the females in distress.

4. 4Check in with Wotta

   [22,-25] · Wotta

   The plan didn't work. Suggest to Wotta that he bring in two Tanukis directly, a male and a female, to prove to the Pandawas that the two are equal.

   Each recruited Tanuki must be brought back to [22,-25] before going to recruit the other one.

5. 5Recruit Tanuwu Kang

   [27,-26] · Tanuwu Kang

   Ask Tanuwu Kang to come and defend Tanuki equality. He is willing, but doesn't want to leave his sculpture unattended: he saw a Mushd nearby.

   

6. 6Defeat the Recalcitrant Mushd

   Combat[27,-27] · Recalcitrant Mushd

   Go up to the map above and talk to the Recalcitrant Mushd to attack him. The fight is done solo.

7. 7Escort Tanuwu Kang

   Movement[27,-26] · Tanuwu Kang

   Go back down and tell Tanuwu Kang that the Mushd is no longer a problem: he agrees to follow you. Take him to [22,-25], with the three Pandawas.

8. 8Recruit Tanuli Huan

   [26,-25] · Tanuli Huan

   Tanuli Huan is willing to come, but she is waiting for a delivery of flat stones. In the meantime, bring her 5 Flat Stone picked up in the surrounding area.

   Collect

   Click on a stone on each of these maps.

   Each stone weighs 150 pods: keep more than 750 pods free.

10. 10Escort Tanuli Huan

    Bring her the stones. The delivery guy has come by in the meantime: she is ready to follow you. Take her to [22,-25], with the three Pandawas.

11. 11Introduce the two Tanukis

    Dialogue[22,-25] · Jiugwi

    Talk to Jiugwi: he thinks it's a setup by Wotta and that the Tanukis were bribed. Talk to Chiwhan: she isn't convinced either, as far as she's concerned the female is still superior. Talk to Tanuli Huan, who offers to show what she and Tanuwu are capable of, then to Tanuwu Kang, who is up for the heavy-handed approach.

12. 12Use force to end the debate

    Dialogue[22,-25] · Wotta

    Wotta approves of the idea of the fight and asks which side you take. The choice is yours: the fight is done solo, with allies that depend on your answer. The simplest is to defend equality alongside Wotta; otherwise, you fight with Chiwhan or Jiugwi only, against everyone else.

    Spells recorded in the fight: Rock Garden Elevation (100 Neutral, 20% Erosion on adjacent cells, summons carved stones around the caster; on the next turn, it destroys the stones next to it and gains 100% of its level as a shield per stone); Ishinuki (3 times 50 Earth in melee, removes 3 times 1 dodgeable AP); Tsunamishi (charges at the target, 100 Earth and pushes it back 2 cells, in a line up to 5 range); Kaolin (75 Earth, -3 range for 1 turn, up to 10 range); Tanuki Pottery (75 Water, surrounds the target with pots that gain 6 MP, in a line up to 8 range); Terreglaise (60 Earth and 60 Water, -10 MP dodge in a diagonal of size 2, up to 8 range).

13. 13Go back to see Wotta

    Dialogue[22,-25] · Wotta

    After the fight, talk to Wotta again: he hopes the Tipsy Pandawas have finally understood, after seeing the Tanukis fight together. Then talk to Jiugwi and then to Chiwhan, as the game asks. The quest ends.

Where does the Gender Equality quest start?

With Wotta, at [22,-25] on Pandala Island. You must have completed Pandala Awakens.

Where can I find the Tanuki Defeats?

On the Tanukis, with a 6% base rate. The female one on Tatatojiki, Shinobuubusu and Titinuki; the male one on Ishibig Pak, Parashutackle and Tanukouï San.

Where can I find the 5 Flat Stone?

In [25,-24], [25,-25], [25,-26], [24,-27] and [26,-27]. Each one weighs 150 pods: keep 750 pods free.

Tanuli Huan isn't following me, why?

First you need to bring Tanuwu Kang back to [22,-25]. Only one Tanuki at a time: bring the first one before going to get the other.

Which side should I pick for the final fight?

Wotta's, the easiest one. The other choices have you fight with only Chiwhan or Jiugwi, against all the others.

What does the quest give?
