The 9 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Fred Handed

   Dialogue[-77,-44] · Fred Handed

   Enter the Village tavern and go down to the cellar. Fred Handed wants you to retrieve the loot of his late father, Kack Handed.

   

2. 2Capture Kack Handed's soul

   Combat[-56,-77] · Kack Handed

   Kack Handed's soul is at Alma's Cradle. He will only reveal where the loot is if you follow his instructions: start by capturing his soul. The fight is done solo.

   1. “Fight to capture the soul”

   Equip the Soul Stone for Average Souls in your combat consumables and cast the Soul Capture spell before defeating Kack Handed.

3. 3Take the soul to the northern reefs

   [-58,-83]

   Bring the soul to [-58,-83]. As soon as you arrive on the map, a group of Alma's Cradle monsters attacks you. Once the monsters are defeated, Kack Handed reappears on the map.

4. 4Enter the Esprit rebelle mini-dungeon

   Dungeon[-58,-83] · Kack Handed

   Talk to Kack Handed: he lets you into the Esprit rebelle mini-dungeon. There you are transformed into a Harpy Pirate, with 49 HP, 6 AP, 3 MP and spells specific to the transformation.

   Don't go alone: come with a player at the same point in the quest, or who has already finished it. The mini-dungeon can only be redone every 24 hours, and it's best to be 4.

5. 5Room 1: defeat the 6 Espirates

   The first room pits you against 6 Espirates, which strike in a straight line from a few cells of range away. Favor the Pusher spell: its pushback damage lets you hit harder.

6. 6Room 2: defeat the Esprit rebelle

   Combat

   The second and last room contains 4 Kannon Spirits and the Esprit rebelle. Your spells, being Neutral, don't hit it: let the Kannon Spirits explode near it, bringing your characters as close as possible to the Esprit rebelle. It's fairly simple but very long.

7. 7Ask where the stash is

   Dialogue[-58,-83] · Kack Handed

   Talk to Kack Handed again, on the dungeon exit map, and ask him where the stash is.

8. 8Open the chest

   [-52,-71]

   Meet at [-52,-71] and open the chest. No treasure, only a letter: Kack Handed's Letter.

9. 9Give the letter to Fred Handed

   Items[-77,-44] · Fred Handed

   Go back to the tavern cellar and give the letter to Fred, who can't help criticizing your services. The quest ends.
