The 7 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Doc Ettem Bworn

   Dialogue[1,6] · Doc Ettem Bworn

   The dimensional travelers are looking into why some of their own have become Fugitives. They suspect Vortex, the leader of the Fugitives, but also Doctor Lebb, hidden in the Uncertain Future. Doc asks you to question him by posing as an Hystairkal whose report he is expecting: the real one has been captured.

2. 2Take on the appearance of an Hystairkal

   Use the Hystairkal Eidolonic Veil to transform.

   The appearance disappears as soon as you start a fight. If you lose it, buy back a veil from Vertime the Collector, at the outpost, for Orichor.

3. 3Enter Doctor Lebb's place

   Movement[4,-3] · Crushmore Guard

   Reach the Uncertain Future: head for the cave entrances, at the far right of the Gonebyways, then use the fast watch 3 times. At [4,-3], tell one of the two Crushmore Guards that Vortex sent you: with the appearance of an Hystairkal, they let you through.

4. 4Talk to Doctor William Lebb

   Dialogue[4,-3] · Doctor William Lebb

   Inside the building, tell the Doctor you come on behalf of Vortex. He demands the roots he had asked the real Hystairkal for: pretend you lost them, so you can go and harvest some.

5. 5Pick up 5 Tomorroot

   Collect[1,-4] [5,-4] [1,-3] [2,-5] [5,-5]

   The roots are picked from some kind of will-o'-the-wisps, in the third zone of the Uncertain Future. The simplest order: [1,-4], [5,-4], [1,-3], [2,-5], then [5,-5].

6. 6Bring the roots to Doctor Lebb

   Items[4,-3] · Doctor William Lebb

   Talk to a Crushmore Guard again to tell him you're bringing the roots, still in the appearance of an Hystairkal, then give them to the Doctor. He seeks to soothe the torments of the Fugitives, and doesn't like dimensional travelers, whom he finds unfree.

7. 7Report to Doc Ettem Bworn

   [1,6] · Doc Ettem Bworn

   At the outpost, tell Doc about your whole adventure with Doctor Lebb. The quest ends; by continuing the conversation, you get the next one.
