What to prepare

Nothing to gather, but the Snowbound Village must be liberated: many of the quest's NPCs are there. You also need to be able to reach the entrance to the Celestial Bearbarian dungeon, at [-63,-75].

The 9 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Albert Lioz

   Dialogue[-80,-73] · Albert Lioz

   Albert Lioz has had no news of Maya and asks you to find her in the Bearbarian Hive.

   

2. 2Search for Maya in the hive

   Movement[-63,-75] · Willi Biene

   Go to the NPC at the entrance of the Celestial Bearbarian dungeon. Ask Willi Biene where Maya is: she then appears on the map. Talk to her and explain why you are here.

   

3. 3Tamper with the pipework

   [-63,-75]

   Maya wants to divert the bearbarians' honey for the villagers. From the dungeon entrance, climb back up the ladder and go through the hive's pipework, clicking on each pipe to tamper with: the game counts 7. Then go back to see Maya at the same spot.

4. 4Modify the pipework controller

   [-63,-75]

   Go back to the hive entrance and find the pipework controller, to modify its settings.

5. 5Find the honey outflow

   Movement[-65,-74]

   The honey outflow is located in Mount Scauldron. Discovering this map is enough.

6. 6Go back to see Albert Lioz

   Dialogue[-80,-73] · Albert Lioz

   Albert Lioz asks you to help Maya get out of the hive.

   

7. 7Find Maya at the top of the hive

   [-63,-75] · Willi Biene

   Ask Willi Biene which way Maya went, then set off again from the hive entrance to find her at the top of the Bearbarian Hive. Talk to Maya.

   

8. 8Face the angry Vespal Bearbarians

   Combat[-63,-75]

   Maya is threatened by the bearbarians: face them in her place. The fight is solo, but a companion is allowed. At the start of the fight, you receive a Maya's Headscarf.

   If you lose, the quest still ends, but without its reward.

9. 9Talk to Maya again

   Dialogue[-63,-75] · Maya

   After the fight, talk to Maya one last time. The quest ends.
