What to prepare

Plan for 18 Pandawa drinks to get the tavern keeper drunk, 1 Key to the Belly of the Whale (the keyring doesn't work) and what you need to do the Kabaal Ritual dungeon. Both fights and the dungeon can be done in a group.

The 14 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Gob'Li'Terate the Destroyed

   Dialogue[39,-53] · Gob'Li'Terate the Destroyed

   Gob'Li'Terate chose to become Possessed to be stronger. He advises you to join their ranks and meet the great Kabaal if you want to be on the winning side.

   

2. 2Talk to the Pandamonium Guardian

   Dialogue[41,-56] · Pandamonium Guardian

   The Pandamonium is where the Destroyers gather, not a place for mortals. Tell him about Dark Vlad's fire: he understands that you are not a Douzien like the others and agrees to let you see Kabaal. But first you need a gift worthy of the necromancer.

3. 3Meet the tavern keeper

   Dialogue[43,-58] · Bott'Omsup the Thirsty

   Go to the tavern at [43,-58], via the stairs at [42,-57]. Bott'Omsup the Thirsty takes you for Kabaal's next sacrifice. The necromancer is crazy about spiced Pigzebub beer, but she'll only give you some if you get her to drink until she staggers.

   

4. 4Gather the Pandawa drinks

   Items

   You need Pandawa drinks other than beer: 6 of each kind, if you don't already have them.

   • [23,-32] buy 6 Vodkawa from Urakoru, in the forbidden tavern, for 200 kamas each
   • [22,-27] buy 6 Umeshushu from Chonayu, at 50 kamas each
   • [20,-25] get 6 High-Fermentation Shaké from Arumichi, in exchange for 1 Pandawushu Artefact of each element (Water, Wind, Roc, Fire, Wood) per Shaké

   Dialogue

   1. “Ask for highly fermented shaké”

   Arumichi only sells Shaké after the quest Habits Go Down Hard. Otherwise, buy it at the auction house or from a player.

5. 5Get the tavern keeper drunk

   Dialogue[43,-58] · Bott'Omsup the Thirsty

   Go back to the Pandamonium tavern (stairs at [42,-57]) and give the drinks in order, from weakest to strongest. Once the tavern keeper is drunk, Possessed rush you to defend her: the fight can be done in a group. Their spells are those of the monsters in the Kabaal Ritual dungeon.

6. 6Receive the beer for Kabaal

   Dialogue[43,-58] · Bott'Omsup the Thirsty

   After the fight, talk to Bott'Omsup the Thirsty again: nobody had gotten her drunk in a long time. She keeps her word and gives you a Spiced Pigzebub Beer, the perfect gift for Kabaal.

7. 7Defeat Kabaal

   Combat[43,-57]

   Enter the whale carcass at [43,-57] : it's the Kabaal Ritual dungeon. Defeat Kabaal, the dungeon boss.

   First start the quest A Real Boy, which is taken in room 5 of the dungeon: it also asks you to defeat Kabaal, which saves doing the dungeon twice.

8. 8Offer the beer to Kabaal

   Items[43,-57] · Kabaal

   Don't leave the dungeon: talk to Kabaal, who is upset that you refused the honor of being sacrificed. Offer him the beer, then bluff. He doesn't believe you, but he tells you that your arrival is disturbing the spirit of the whale you are in. You then hear two voices: that of this whale, and another, much more distant one.

9. 9Prepare the Key to the Belly of the Whale

   To find where the second voice comes from, get 1 Key to the Belly of the Whale; the keyring doesn't work. To craft it: 1 Frosteez, 2 Tasty Meat, 2 Bashillus Leg, 1 Snowdrop, 1 Icefish, 2 Viring Shell, 2 Verminoculate Eye and 2 Bacterrible Antenna.

10. 10Talk to Matilda Oualtginz

    Dialogue[-85,-59] · Matilda Oualtginz

    Tell him the whale called you. By concentrating on the song, you will be led to Kideebom: give him the dungeon key. You are teleported to the exit of the Belly of the Whale dungeon.

11. 11Listen to Kideebom's Spirit

    Kideebom's Spirit tells the fate of Bakujikera, a sacrificed whale whose soul is tortured on behalf of the demons: it is the carcass of the Pandamonium. He gives you a spiritual ambergris to smell in front of her remains to reach the spirit's sunken temple.

12. 12Use the Spiritual Ambergris

    Combat[43,-57]

    Go back to the dungeon, on the Atoll of the Possessed, and use the Spiritual Ambergris from your quest inventory. You're teleported to Bakujikera's temple: click the eye at the top of the steps. A fight starts against 2 Coral Pillars, group possible.

13. 13Talk to Bakujikera's Spirit

    After the fight, Bakujikera's Spirit appears: her guardians had taken you for a Possessed. Murdered more than 600 years ago, her soul is trapped in her carcass, which the demons use. Her murderer was a demon from elsewhere, and she senses his mark on you. She asks you to intercede on her behalf with Draconiros.

14. 14Go back to see Draconiros

    Dialogue[21,-33] · Draconiros

    Find Draconiros in front of the Dofus receptacle and tell him about the spirit of Bakujikera and its assassin, both nightmare and demon. According to him, the mark the whale sensed could be the one a Horlamare left on you. The quest ends.

In what order do I give the drinks to the innkeeper?

At Arumichi's at [20,-25], in exchange for 1 Pandawushu Artefact of each element per Shaké, if you've completed Habits Go Down Hard. Otherwise, at the auction house or from a player.

How many kamas should I plan for?

1,500 kamas for the drinks: 1,200 for 6 Vodkawa from Urakoru, and 300 for 6 Umeshushu from Chonayu.

Is the keyring enough for the Belly of the Whale?

No. You need a real Key to the Belly of the Whale, to give to Matilda Oualtginz at [-85,-59].

How do I reach Bakujikera's spirit?

By using the Spiritual Ambergris in front of the dungeon, at [43,-57]. In the temple, click the eye at the top of the steps to start the fight against the Coral Pillars.
