The 17 quest steps

1. 1Examine the Suspicious Herbs

   [-64,29] · Suspicious Herbs

   The quest starts on Nimaltopia, in the Suspicious Herbs, where you find a decapitated corpse. You have to investigate by questioning the people nearby.

2. 2Question Mama Wawa

   Dialogue[-63,28] · Mama Wawa

   Mama Wawa recognizes the corpse's head. She saw this person offer a crate containing a sword to a hunter, who used it to decapitate them. Their clothes looked like Armelie's.

3. 3Show the head to Armelie

   Items[-63,30] · Armelie

   Armelie recognizes Hills Antère, an Amaknian who used to trade with Frigost. He must have stolen the Vorpale Sword from the Mage Dekkak, the only weapon able to kill the Jabberwooky, a dragon hidden on the island. The hunter is surely looking for Bujbuj Oiseau, linked to the dragon: only Beaver Laise knows how to enter his valley.

4. 4Question Beaver Laise

   The beaver has already pointed out the valley to a hunter, so he'd eliminate the bird that terrifies him. When you make him understand that the hunter also wants to kill the dragon, he reveals that Bujbuj's valley is behind a statue, in the northwest of the island.

   

5. 5Meet the Fearful Domoizelle

   The Fearful Domoizelle is actually Bujbuj, in disguise. The hunter has already left, and she told him nothing about the Jabberwooky's location.

6. 6Go back to see Armelie

   Dialogue[-63,30] · Armelie

   A terrible predator, Peter Bankersnatch, arrived on the island at the same time as the Jabberwooky, and is scared stiff of it: he must know where the dragon is. To lure him, you need a fake banker as bait.

7. 7Order the stuffed banker

   Ask Timeykan Grudown to make you a stuffed banker. He needs 4 Bag of Feathers, 10 Golden Pebble and 5 Toilet Paper, to collect in any order you like.

11. 11Have the banker made

    Bring the materials back to Timeykan Grudown. He starts the making and has you take part, for example by rubbing leaves against your kamas to impregnate them with the smell of money. You get a Stuffed Banker.

12. 12Show the banker to Armelie

    Armelie asks you to go place the bait in the center of the island.

13. 13Install the banker and question the Giant Snailmate

    On the left map, click the plants at the bottom to place the fake banker. Talk to the Giant Snailmate that appears: it's Peter Bankersnatch. Talk to him again to ask whether he has seen an adventurer armed with a big sword: he points you east.

    

14. 14Follow the hunter's tracks

    Movement[-62,29] · Tomtom Treeckler

    On the right map, in [-63,30], the hunter's tracks head northeast. Keep going to [-62,29] and talk to Tomtom Treeckler, who is writing on the ground: hunters threatened him so he'd guide them to the Jabberwooky. He asks you to enter the dark forest to save the dragon.

    

15. 15Enter the Jabberwooky's Thicket

    Movement[-62,29]

    On the same map, enter a secret map by standing on the hidden cell at the very top of the map, behind the big pink leaf.

16. 16Defeat Surjon Teniel and his hunters

    Combat[-62,29] · Surjon Teniel

    Talk to Surjon Teniel, the hunter who has the sword, and try to convince him to leave. A fight starts, it can be done in a group. At the start of the fight, he summons a Vorpale Sword next to him: 3 MP, immovable, invulnerable and unlockable, with a single spell that kills in one hit everything within a square of size 1 around it.

    1. “Force the hunters by violence”

    When the sword is summoned, on the first turn only, monsters within 3 range or less of Surjon become invulnerable at range for the whole fight, as soon as they start their turn. The effect can't be debuffed and remains after Surjon's death.

17. 17Give the Vorpale Sword back to Armelie

Target him fast and stay away from the Vorpale Sword. Don't end your turn in its glyph and don't try to remove MP from the sword.
