What to prepare

Nothing to gather. The quest doesn't start with the first NPC: you must first talk to Marie Jeannette and Trebor Sonderan, so that the Wary Skull then agrees to give it to you. Bring friends for a tough fight.

The 7 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Marie Jeannette

   Dialogue[4,1] · Marie Jeannette

   Before even starting the quest, go see Marie Jeannette in the Shrouded Canals. She is busy for now and invites you to come back later.

   These first two steps are done without the quest being started: they are essential for the Wary Skull to give it to you.

2. 2Talk to Trebor Sonderan

   Dialogue[6,-1] · Trebor Sonderan

   In the Shadowy Heights, Trebor Sonderan thinks you are hiding something and warns you about the local assassins. A piece of rotten meat appears in your quest inventory.

3. 3Provoke the Wary Skull

   [4,0] · Wary Skull

   The Wary Skull advises you to watch your back. Mocked, he takes revenge by shouting that you are a wanted assassin: the quest starts, and your head carries a bounty.

4. 4Hide at Sna Hitch's

   Movement[4,0] · Sna Hitch

   Hide before you get attacked: talk to Sna Hitch, who offers to hide you in the next room, his bedroom. Then go back to the first room, the living room, to see what is going on.

5. 5Defeat the Nogud gang

   Combat[4,0]

   Nogud are waiting to do you in. A fairly tough fight starts, with Nogud and a few monsters from the Throne Room of the Dark Court dungeon. You can bring friends along. After the victory, you get a Nogud Tooth.

   If you lose, start the fight again: it restarts on a larger map, at [6,1] or at [7,-2], where friends without the quest can also help you.

6. 6Question the Nogud

   Dialogue · Nogud

   Ask the Nogud why he attacked: your head has been put under a bounty by Marie Jeannette's lover, for a murder you supposedly committed.

7. 7Go back to Sna Hitch

   Sna Hitch apologizes for setting a trap for you, only for the money, and gives you the bounty he collected. The quest ends and unlocks Presumed Guilty.
