You need an Anti-Whirlpool Ballast to go down into the Tritun Depths: buy it at the auction house, or have it crafted by a Shoemaker of level 200 with Erika Barley's Diving Weights.

The 9 quest steps

1. 1Talk to Lieutenant Rayner

   Dialogue[21,27] · Lieutenant Rayner

   Rayner asks you to neutralize a young Leviatun spotted in the Tritun Depths. To go down there, you need an Anti-Whirlpool Ballast.

2. 2Exchange sausages for weights

   Items[22,19] · Erika Barley

   Give 5 Smoked Sausage to Erika Barley, delighted to put a few more in her mouth: she gives you Diving Weights in exchange.

3. 3Obtain the Anti-Whirlpool Ballast

   Items

   Have the ballast crafted by a Shoemaker of level 200 with the Diving Weights, 50 Silyrus Moustache, 10 Tritun Skin, 10 Quisnoa, 20 Mahaquany Wood, 20 Salikronia and 2 Seemyool Amber. Seemyool Amber is bought from Pink Tada, in front of the pool.

   No need to craft it: the Anti-Whirlpool Ballast can also be bought at the resources auction house.

4. 4Neutralize the Little Leviatun

   [19,32] · Little Leviatun

   With the ballast, go down into the Tritun Depths. Brandish the Eye of Ansoh in front of the Little Leviatun to put it out of action.

5. 5Defeat Loton

   Combat[19,32] · Loton

   Talk to Loton, furious that you drove his Leviatun crazy. A fight starts, solo.

6. 6Go back to Lieutenant Rayner

   Dialogue[21,27] · Lieutenant Rayner

   Announce the Leviatun's neutralization: all that's left is to defend the camp against the Trituns' attack, in three waves.

   Before these fights, start Jus Primae Noctis and Memoires of an Amnesiac: they require resources to be collected from the monsters in the area.

7. 7Defeat the three waves of Trituns

   Combat[21,27] · Lieutenant Rayner

   Talk to Rayner again to start each wave; the fights are doable in a group. First Wave: 3 Octodolls, 3 Crabtuns, 2 Trydes. Second: 2 Octodolls, 2 Crabtuns, 2 Trydes, 2 Silyruses. Third: 2 Crabtuns, 2 Silyruses, 2 Merdiodons, 1 Octodoll and 1 Chief Tryde. Their spells are those of the Dantinea's Palace dungeon.

   Last wave, two spells to watch. Underwater Camouflage: invisible, immune to spells that reveal, it gains 100 Power per turn hidden and becomes visible again once hit. Watery Prison: a glyph on its former positions hits for about 500 and pulls to the center, with no exit except through a leap or stabilization-type spell.

8. 8Talk to Dame Askning

   Dialogue[21,27] · Dame Askning

   Announce the victory to Rayner, then talk to Dame Askning: she thanks you and sends you to report to the Queen of Sufokia.

9. 9Report back to Queen Viktoria

   [23,24] · Queen Viktoria

   At the Palace of Sufokia, tell the queen what happened with the Trituns, then give her the Eye of Ansoh: she plans to use it to pressure them. The quest ends.
