The 19 quest steps

  1. 1Talk to the Oasis Guard

    Dialogue · Oasis Guard

The Oasis Guard refuses to let you in: only Tax Collectors wearing a badge can enter the Oasis. Question the desert's inhabitants to find a way in.

  2. 2Question Bascova Silemphra

    Dialogue · Bascova Silemphra

Everyone dreams of the badge to live in the safety and comfort of the Oasis, but the trials are hard right from the first one. A certain Councillor Delaroka has passed the qualifying trials.

    Dialogue

    1. “Ask him questions about the Tax Collectors' badge”
  3. 3Question Lam Pysca

    Dialogue · Lam Pysca

For him, the Oasis is a place of misfortune: those who tried to enter ended up injured, or even dead. He also tells you about Councillor Delaroka, who urges the villagers to join the Oasis.

    Dialogue

    1. “Greet him and ask him about the oasis”
  4. 4Question Lavra Jamahder

    Dialogue · Lavra Jamahder

The Tax Collectors are former villagers who, once in the Oasis, forget their fellow villagers. Only Councillor Delaroka seems not to have forgotten where he comes from.

    Dialogue

    1. “Ask what a Tax Collector is”
  5. 5Meet Councillor Delaroka

    Dialogue · Councillor Delaroka

The first trial is to survive 30 days and 30 nights alone in the desert, facing the Misery winds. The Counsellor passed it but stays in the village to find a way to get everyone through it safely. A Misericroba appears: talk to it, then talk to Councillor Delaroka again.

  6. 6Accept the Counsellor's deal

    Dialogue · Councillor Delaroka

The Felling Wind has just been released, and his friends are still away on an expedition. He will give you his certificate of success if you help him destroy the wind sources. First find Reg Chanamo, who went north to see a wretch of the old generation who took refuge in a cave.

  7. 7Join Reg Chanamo

    Movement · Reg Chanamo

The entrance to the Abandoned Cave has collapsed and Reg Chanamo has nothing to blow up the rockslide with. He asks you for the ingredients of an explosive: 4 Doitall Plank, 1 Forgotten Ore and 1 Wick.

On each map you cross, you risk being attacked by 2 Felling Winds, in solo combat. This applies throughout the whole quest.

  8. 8Craft 4 Doitall Plank

    Crafting

With the lumberjack profession at level 100, craft 4 Doitall Plank. Each one requires 4 Rescue Board, 4 Etching Board, 4 Surf Board and 4 Awkwood Board. They can now be traded: you can also buy them.

  12. 12Defeat the Big Troolgodyte

    Combat · Reg Chanamo

Enter the Abandoned Cave and talk to Reg Chanamo again. The cave is home to a Troolgodyte that must be dealt with: a fight starts, solo, alongside Reg.

  13. 13Search the Abandoned Cave

Talk to Reg Chanamo again: a certain Siv Striknos, one of the rare survivors of the wind source, lived here. Click on the wooden stake on the left, the broken crate at the top and the pile of bones at the top right: you get a Little Poem, an Inventory and Siv Striknos's Diary.

    • Inventory iconInventoryreceived
    • Siv Striknos's Diary iconSiv Striknos's Diaryreceived
  14. 14Read the documents

Look through the three documents. The Little Poem talks about the wind, of no interest; the Inventory lists enough to survive a few months; Siv Striknos's Diary tells of an expedition that set out to hunt the Misery winds.

  15. 15Escort Reg Chanamo to Laroka

    Movement

Show the diary to Reg Chanamo: he wants you to escort him to Councillor Delaroka. Reg becomes your follower character: lead him to .

The winds can still attack you. If you lose a fight, go back to find Reg at . Husband/wife teleportation lets you avoid a good share of the aggressions.

  16. 16Show the diary to Councillor Delaroka

    Items · Councillor Delaroka

Thanks to the diary, the Counsellor pinpoints three wind sources. Some wretches will make them overheat while you protect them from the wind's attacks.

    • Siv Striknos's Diary icon1 × Siv Striknos's Diaryto hand over
  17. 17Destroy the three wind sources

    Combat

Lead the excursion to each of the three points, in the order of your choice, and talk to the wretch on site to start the fight against the Felling Wind Source, solo.

    • north point: talk to Shi Oro
    • [0,0] northwest point: talk to Shi Oro
    • southwest point: talk to Mazetti
  18. 18Find out what happened to Reg Chanamo

With the three sources destroyed, Reg has disappeared. Talk to Mazetti: Reg threw himself into the wind and ended up shredded. Then talk to Shi Oro, who is also shaken by what looks like a suicide.

  19. 19Go back to see Councillor Delaroka

    Dialogue · Councillor Delaroka

Report the destruction of the sources and the death of Reg Chanamo. The wind still blows, though less strongly: one last source would be in the Oasis. The Counsellor hands you his certificate for passing the qualifiers, and the quest ends.
